i love how i ask these questions and i'm told to repent and such.... and don't use the Bible as proof. Give me a cold hard scientific study of water and rainfall and how much it would take.

not the whole world. There is not enough water on earth even if you melt the ice caps and get the air down to 0% humidity to cover the mountains.

The important part of the bible is not that every story is technically 100% accurate, but that the stories teach good lessons on how to live your life.

I have done some study on the biblical flood and there were three different factors that played out during the course of the biblical flood. first of all the 40 day and forty nights of rain, the fountains of the deep which flowed up out of the ground, which I work in the oilfields and I assure you there are vast quantities of salt water in the ground right below your feet.Third and the most difficult to understand is the windows of heaven being opened. During this time a planet about the size of Mercury was brought close to the Earth depositing the ice rings on the poles North and South. This is why we have the northern lights and the southern lights. Also This is when the bitter cold froze animals right in there tracks. Also this is where all the dinosaur's and all of mankind perished.save the eight people that was on the ark.I believe Adam and Eve lived right along side the dinosaurs. When the waters receded and the fountains of the deep returned back in the earth. Most plant and animal matter from the ante-dulivian( preflood) world went underground also. This matter has decomposed into hydrocarbons Giving us are present day reservoirs of crude oil and natural gas.Yes, it is possible and did happen just as God in his word tells us it did. Crude oil and natural gas are available in deposits around the world. Hope you have a great day!

I don't think it's the whole earth!
can the amount of water change? I mean it's always there in vapour/water/or ice. so I really don't think it's all earth .. it's only the part where animals and humans lived in. but Noah "parked" his ark on a mountain. which means where he was was still watery.

Of course not. There would be at least some piece of land above water. See Water World with Kevin Cosner

Yes, even scientists believe the earth was completely flooded (though they wont say it was Noah's flood) but there will probably be a dozen atheists after my post here saying "No it's not, this is another way the bible is FALSE"

yes it is, with gobal warming the ice melts and the water levels rise, so yes it is a great threat to us all....theres a good american show called "natural disaster" if you get the chance to gooogle it they did a show on how it can and quite possibly will happen.

well, the bible says it happened. how can you dispute that? repent for even thinking that before it's too late.
