I have heard of a strep infection..is that what you are thinking of, maybe?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_A_streptococcal_infection
Although it is possible to get an skin irritation/ infection from wearing clothing too tight..which I suppose could be called a strap infection.

I think that you mean strep or staph infection. Strep infections are usually located at the back of your throat/ tonsils. Staph infections are usually found on the skin/ in wounds/ or in urine. All people have staph on your skin at all times, it only becomes a problem if it invades a wound/ urine/ or blood. All are usually treatable with antibiotics, there are newer strains of staph that are resistent to antibiotics- these staph infections are called VRE or MRSA.

Strept and it is short for streptococcal virus. It usually is in the throat and you will tell by the swollen tonsils and the White spots called exudate. Classic signs of strept throat.
Quite painful thraot infection and can be transmitted so do not share anything from the person and wash your hands !!!

You must mean "staff infection." It requires an antibiotic to heal and is available only by prescription from a doctor.
Women usually get them a lot in the vaginal area.

I think you mean strep- which is a common mouth/throat infection that does need meds to go away. It is bacteria, and usually carries med-high tempurates.
Highly contagious as ell.
Go to dr ASAP, and please do not send kids to school with strep. only your dr can do a throat culture to determine if it is strep.
Good luck!
