Is the movie already on your harddrive or is it a dvd? If its a Dvd, you're going to have to rip the movie to your computer first, which requires special software/hardware. If the movie file is already on your computer in a media format, like .mpg or .avi, you simply insert the blank cd (or dvd, depending on how big the file is), and through your cd burning program, you burn the file as data rather than as media. It depends on the program you're using, but usually there is an option to burn either data or media.

you don't.........you CAN convert it to vcd format, then burn it onto a cd. Nero will do that for you, if the movie is already ripped and in a data format.
