Why dont african american males want to be fathers?

Why do they insist on knocking girls up and not being fathers? I know whites do this to, but not nearly as much as the black community does, why is this?

And I hate race mixing too!

Because they do not value women, family and position......they value basketball, big huge baggy pants and Rap music

You cannot speak in general about these things because there are some good guys out there. Basically, the people who get girls pregnant, white or black, without intending to marry these girls, are completely irresponsible people and mostly unemployed. They may also be young and not many people get married or should get married when they're young. Having said that, these girls should have more respect for themselves, since some of these young men don't. These girls should protect themselves at any cause. Couple momentary pleasures can get you pregnant with couple babies at a young age, basically stamping a tough life on their foreheads. Then most of these girls with a baby or two at young age, would settle for almost anybody to be their kids' father. And that's not fair to them and their children. So, have fun but be responsible and respectful to your partner. Don't treat them like a "pleasure dump" or allow to be treated as such.

Because the U.S. requires you to have a license to make a building, or drive a car, but they don't train men on how to be responsible if they make a baby, or how to care. They just let any body become a father. If they started a law requiring all dead beat dads, (not just Blacks, either), that don't contribute to the well being of the child they've created, and require them to check in every 2 months with the courts to monitor them and their job finding status,
and if they fail to pass with satisfactory status, then they will be sterilized. This will prevent them from moving on to the next victim.

i find this to be a very racist comment, not only b/c i'm african american but because people of ALL races do these things. There are people all over the world who don't have fathers in their lives. How do you know that there are more Black men who don't want to be fathers? however, i do feel that there are less men who are willing to be fathers because more men are becoming fathers at younger ages, when they are not mature enough to accept and handle the responsibilities of fatherhood.

because its not cool in their culture to be dads. The ignorant black guys do it all the time.....but some black men are great dads....they work, support their kids, etc. but its definantly a minority of black guys. There are sorry fathers everywhere. It has a lot to do with the way they're raised.

Basically you can put all irresponsible men regardless of what race in that category. I'm totally offended by that statement. There are men in all races that don't hold up. Be careful what you say about people, you'll find yourself in that same predicament.

it isn't a racial thing...its a maturity thing...most of the blacks in America live in cities, and are in very unsafe places, and they are not prepared mentally to have children depend on them, and they also aren't for the most part monetarily able to support them ether

i do not mean to make it a race issue, but for the most part black people living in inner city neighbor hoods are of very low class
