About five years ago I tore my knee cap away from my knee and torn some ligaments well I had surgeries done after spending about a year on crutches they cut open my knee cut some muscles that kept pulling my knee cap out of place and sewed them to another part of my knee then they fixed the ligaments I had torn then the took my knee cap completely off re shaped it and put it in a different way then stitched me up ever since then my knee cap dislocates at times ill just be walking along and with no warning it will dislocate and I will be on the floor and it hurts a lot with bad weather and it is swollen a lot of the time but because it does dislocate on its own my doctor said it will probably need pins to hold it in place does anyone here have pins in there knee does it help are you able to walk better with them or what? Should I go ahead with the surgery I'm scared!

Frankly, I don't know that I would have gone as far as you have.....but, having come so far, it makes little sense to stop now. You've kept faith in the doctors this long, might as well let them have a go at fixing the problem that it would appear they created.

As to the weather warnings.. that's always going to be there sweetie. Seems that they may have done a bit of experimental surgery on you. Get your records, take them to another doctor, and see what other course of action you can do. I'm not saying sue anyone.. but get a second or third opinion on the surgery, and what type is actually needed. I'm frightened for you as well. I hate being cut on, or having my loved ones go under the knife.. You're a brave lady..
I'll keep you in my prayers, if that's alright with you..

its is worth going through all the pain? if this is the only way then u have to do what u have to do. but remember these pins will hurt a little when the weather gets cold but thats the worst that can happen. trust ur doctor and hav ethe surgery. its natural to be scared but look at the bright side after all that u have been through this will be the last stage.

I think you should take a second opinion first.
You can try getting it in India.First if your doubts are
clear--then only you should go ahead with the surgery.
If needed you can get the surgery itself in India
and pay also so less.

definately. having pins in your knee is no biggie. (My uncle has them) would you rather stay in the condition that you are in or have better mobility?
