My neighbor who used to be a good Muslim and went to the Masjid with me every week, converted to Judaism a month ago.

I started out by trying to convince them the errors of his ways-his wife and daughter converted to Judaism as well. They just bought a new BMW, so it is obvious he really doesn't believe in the Jew religion- he was paid by the local synogogue to convert. I have forbid my sister to play with their daughter and I have nothing to do with them anymore.

Obviously, I cannot do what the Holy Quran commands and kill the apostates- at least not until we have Shariah law in the United States(which will happen eventually, inshallah). Should I move ? Or should I harass them until they move ? I am a moderate Muslim, but living next to a family who used to belong to the true religion but are now Jews makes me sick to my stomach.

The Quran does NOT say that ! I believe you are reading a false text...

You are intolerant and a hatemongerer. THAT is against the teachings of the Holy Text.

That's the beauty of living in the US, people are free to make up their own minds, and have their own opinions. Instead of facing death for something like changing religions...

I mean he is still the same basic person but now he has a different religious perspective. Either deal with it or ignore it.

And everyone thinks their religion is the true one (I was raised Mormon, what a con job that is!), and if you are correct then why are muslims killing each other over in Iraq? For what? Because one sect believes slightly differently from the other and for that they must die?

They say money is the root of all evil, but organized religion is a close second! To loosely quote a line from Dogma..."It's not HOW you believe, it's THAT you believe" .Personally I believe in a higher power whatever you decide to call him/her/it but I surely have seen the light when it comes to belonging to organized religion. Live and let live, if religion was the only basis for your freindship then that's not much of a relationship. But if he was really a friend then religion should not matter.

Jeez, hopefully those liberals who think Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance are paying attention to this question. Yes, you are a moderate Muslim so I guess your attitude sums up the attitudes of Muslims living in the US- you dream of having Shariah law which would take the place of the US Constitution and you despise your kafar neighbors.

I doubt the local Jewish temple paid this man- Judaism is open to converts, but only when they are sincere and would definitely not pay anyone.

You have issues and while I don't think every Muslim in America should move to the Middle East, I think you have no place in America.

You are ridiculous. Synogogues don't pay people to convert and his buying a new BMW could just mean that he got a fantastic bonus at work. (Of course, you'll never know, since you consider yourself too godly to even talk to this man.)

Guess what? If his family has converted, clearly they were convinced that they had found the "TRUE RELIGION" (TM) just like you are convinced that you have found the "TRUE RELIGION" (TM). There is NO difference between you. And Shariah law will NEVER happen in the United States, because killing people because of differing religious beliefs is ALWAYS and ABSOLUTELY wrong and I can't believe that Christians and Muslims can't understand this.

What kind of God is it that you serve, who commands you to hate, to kill, and to harass?

Ooh. Apostasy. That's a big no-no in Islam, ain't it?

Perhaps you could phone your local branch of Hezbollah, Hamas or Al Qaeda? Maybe they'll take care of him for you?

Or just put up some big signs on your lawn saying "Smash the pirate state of Israel!" Maybe he'll get the message and leave.

Or perhaps you could think about converting yourself? The religions are all pretty much the same when you look at them. It's just that the silly hats tend to look different is all.

Sounds like a pretty good deal if they're giving away Beamers...

Nothing moderate about that statement of yours. And you can take your Shariah and shove it up your ***. If you don't like HIS freedom of religion, then go back to your bloody desert. Amazing how Islam is suppoesed to be such a religion of peace and love, and every day some idiot like you comes out with a statement like that.

Though I'm neither Jew nor Muslim, I'd say that perhaps you could shower your neighbors with kindness. Consider the optional Way.

Why don't you try being human and live and let live. Or you should go back to the middle east. Yeah that sounds good. If in your heart you want to kill them for what they have done, then your Islam religion makes me sick to my stomach.

Why does his religion change the fact that he was a good friend. You should respect his decision even though you don't agree with it. Religion doesn't change the person that he is, or that you supposedly cared about, just because he doesn't go to the same church as you.
