what are the changes of me gaining weight on the PILL or the SHOT and how much?????

my cousin gained about 15, but she works at Curves now, and also working off baby weight from two years ago.

Well some say the shot makes you gain an excessive amount of weight but I know from experience the pills don't make you gain any.But I feel this way if your gonna have sex it's best to make sure your on some type of shot or pill because if you don't you will end up getting pregnant and then you will for sure gain weight. So it's better safe then sorry.

There is an average weight gain of 5 pounds per year on the pill. With the shot, it is much higher. I tried the shot, and within 6mos. of getting on it I gained 40 pounds! I stayed on it for a year or two, and guess what? When I decided to get off the shot, I lost 20-30 pounds (w/out trying) in the first 2 months after stopping it. That's my personal experience, everyones different, but a nurse did tell me the shots greatly increase appetite.

Normally the shot will make you gain 10-15 pound but I dont think the pill makes you gain any.

I have freinds that gained more on the shot then the pill. I didn't gain weight when I started the pill, but I was exercising.

I guess it all depends on the person i was on the shot for three years and i love my body i was too fat or too skinny i really didnt gain any weight i guess i was one of the lucky one i really think thats the best to go with the pill can get annoying at time plus you forget to take it the shot can last up to 3month so good luck

i was on the shot, and every 3 months when you go and get you will gain weight. Get on the pill or the patch.

well there are different side effects to taking the pill or shot!
when i was 19 i took the pill for about 2 years and i never gained weight from it not even after i went off.
i suppose it depends on the way your body reacts to it.
maybe when u ask the doc for a prescription for it you should ask him/her. you Dr should be able to answer you better..

It depends on your build. I didn't gain weight on the shot. But I had an increase in appetite.

Don't be like those girls who think they are over weight but are normal. I bet a million dollars that you a normal nice woman. Don't take a pill or a shot!
