i have to ice, decorate and score four full sheet cakes on thursday...does anyone know how to score a cake in sixty pieces?

Use a sharp, warm knife. Run the knife under hot water and dry it. Mark through the icing, but not the cake, lines evenly spaced lengthwise, and then do the same width wise. It depends upon the size and shape of the cake how far apart the lines. I can give you more accurate directions if you give the dimensions of the cake.

Depending on the icing, you may need to cut slightly into the cake to keep the lines defined.

edit addition : Just saw kevin's 10/10 below (ha, ha: you bring the ice cream, vanilla please.)

Score the cake six pieces across and ten in length. That would be six swim lanes (five scores) parallel to the length and nine scores across.

my score for a nice chocolate cake is usually 10/10 !

you mean cut it into equal sections? scoring usealy means make a pre-cut, so that the real cut will be easier.
Not sure, good luck.

I'd be more worried about transporting the cakes.
