This is true to some degree. For your pockets to be empty and no one likes you and then those same people do like you when you have money, then I am sorry to tell you, you need to get rid of them and find new friends as those are not friends, they are just using you. True friends do not use their friends.

If you're talking about money I think it has SOME truth but not completely...
If its empty than you ARE a drag and less people will want to hang out with you. Your friends invite you out and you can't pay for dinner or a movie how can you come hang out unless someone else foots your bill? And you certainly can't take anyone out if you're broke.
But you don't need to sh*t money ("full") to be liked.
I don't need my friends to pay for me or take care of me, I'm just not going to pay for them either. Same with my dates. It can be 50/50 or you can take care of my share but I'm not expecting it and I'm not taking care of you.

Your grammar could improve, but your statement is basically correct. Money attracts "friends". You lose your money, you lose your friends. As simple as that.
