Firstly, I apologise for associating a friendly monster with an obviously grotesque monster.
There’s no evidence the Loch Ness Monster (for Nessie believers) has harmed, eaten, killed or murdered a human being. However there is plenty of evidence that the God Monster (for religious believers) has murdered hundreds of human beings, just read the Bible.
Here’s a snippet about the God Monster from the Bible.
Reference: Genesis 6:11-17 and Genesis 7:11-24
GE 6:13 - And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
GE 6:17 - And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
So which Monster (God or Nessie) do you prefer, and what’s the difference between the two? For me, Nessie wasn’t a murderer and that’s a big difference.

There is far more likely to be a trapped plesiosaur in Loch Ness than there is an anthropomorphic father-in-the-sky who, despite being credited with omnipotence and omnibenevolence, has to TEST people's faith (Job, Abraham, etc.) and willingly "hardens people's hearts" so they will not understand his "Gospel" which is, of course, the only way to get "saved" from the earth which HE created despite knowing it would eventually become full of "evil".

First and foremost It sounds like you have no belief in God or you would never have written that question.
Can the Loch Ness monster be real I would have to answer yes, but why would I say that I have never seen it I’ve heard of others seeing it but still I haven’t.
The so called monster as you call him (GOD) tells us that there were sea monsters so that is good enough for me to believe.
(ASB 1901)Genesis 1:21 And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
So you see by study of the bible the monster you compare the creator of all to is created by God himself.
But I understand you don’t believe I was once like that too. With study and time I have come to know that every question that a person could ask, the answer is in the Bible. I know I know you think I’m a crackpot I use to say the same.
Study God and his word and all you ask will be answered. You will find out that yes he was going to destroy all living things but there is so much more to that story just read it and you will come to understand why, he didn’t do it though why because he is number one and always a GOD of love he spared all who were willing to listen and be obedient to him.
Now the murder thing not that I need to defend God, but what if you had a son and told him all about a mine field that was five miles up the road. All his life you told him to stay away, but hey one day he went and looked at it and nothing happen so he went home but next week he went back this time he walked in it a little ways like 5 steps he walked back out and said wow this not that bad he went home and 3 months from then he went back and went in even further now he is thinking though old man is crazy all my life he told me it wasn’t safe but look at
That’s right he stepped on a mine and is now dead, are you a murder for him walking were you told him not to go.
You even had a map of where every mine was placed because the Army wanted you to be able to walk safely in it for whatever reason but you never told your son this and it could have saved his life but you thought he is my son he will do what I tell him, well guess what like all of mankind he didn’t and now is no longer with us.
Do you see the point God has given us that map of the minefield so we can walk safely also but if we don’t read it then we are bound to walk on a dangerous mine like the son.
It was not God who killed all those people but there failure to follow Gods warning
So please even if you think I am a nut at least read Gods whole word before passing judgment so that even if you disagree you will know why he has done all that he has and all that is still yet to come.
Walk in peace

Brenda,
You make this too easy! Thank you for quoting the Bible. This means you have accepted it as some type of truth, evidence of truth or proof text for your argument. Even if you use it to convict rather than protect. The Loch Ness Monster has not written or spoken any words to anyone. So we have no text or proof text to fall back on of it's existence. You by quoting the bible have entered it into evidence for your case.
The difference is God is the creator. You quoted His word so He does exist. If that is not true than He doesn't exist so then He cannot be a monster! And you have no debate.
As the Creator He has the right to destroy what He owns or produces or makes just as any other artist . Do you agree? Take those play-doh projects you once made or still make in play and smash because you don't like them. God has the right to smash His creation like a bug if He so desires.
The good news in the same Bible you quoted and used as proof of your statement that God is a "murderer", also says that He desires none to perish( John 3:16). He sees your pain Brenda and wants you to know that even when you think of Him as a monster He wants to love you. Oh I know that isn't always the way we want to be loved or by our definition of love. But Brenda God is no more a monster than that fable in the Loch.

There are many differences between them obviously, but what they have in common is that they are both imaginary creatures whose existence cannot be scientifically proven. You have a point. The Loch Ness Monster has not harmed any people, but Yahweh and his zealots have caused vast amounts of suffering and loss of life.

those people were not destroyed so that God could have some fun. those people had left their Creator and turned to a big bunch of evil stuff. God let them go on, giving them the chance to return to Him, but still they all (except for Noah and his family) refused. the world's not in the best condition now, why doesn't He send another flood? later in the Scripture He promises never to do that again.

Hm...I thought Nessie was a carnivore? But if so, at least he/she killed for food. God killed out of anger. If I faced both of them today, I would be more afraid of God. Eternal torture for not being raised as a Christian? Nessie would chomp me in two bites and let me rest in peace.
I prefer Nessie.

god created you. gives you your every breath. it can be taken at any moment. so if he wants to kill us or flood us out we are his creation to do that with. your body is not your own it is the temple of gods. you are bought at a price. first corinthians. if you had created the world then created life and only asked that you love him and one another in return, and all of a sudden people started making fun of other people for loving and believing in you and did not love you or declare that you made them and poked fun at you and you told the few righteous people that loved you to warn the unrighteous to stop making fun of you (blasphemy) or to fear that you would do something about it if they didn't stop and the unrighteous laughed even harder about fearing you or your existence and did not make a ship when noah told them the flood was coming ( second chance to repent) and you made them and they mocked you and questioned your existence you would flood them too. they were warned over and over they doomed themselves don't you think? if someone told you they were setting the house on fire and they prepared to escape after they did it would you still sit there in the house waiting for the fire? you would have escaped also. if you chose to set there, whos fault is it? would you get mad at the person who told you not to set in the fire and save yourself or would it be your own fault for not being safe rather than sorry? thats the real question.

God is great. He keeps a lot of people from doing bad stuff. (He also enable a lot of people to justify bad stuff, but that's not his fault.) And I don't believe everything in the bible. Many people think that taking it all literally is not smart. It leads to all sorts of problems.
