A freind left me a Sylvania SRPD442 Plasma TV. I have DirecTV HD receivers and plasma TV's in other parts of the house. I know it does not have an HD tuner for over the air HD broadcasts, but can it display HD signals provided I have a DirecTV receiver (and appropriate dish)?

Actually, isn't it just going to display at the highest resolution it is capable of displaying...that is, I will have good picture quality, but not as good as the other plasma sets that have the higher resolution?

If it's an EDTV, it cannot display HDTV. HDTV is a higher resolution than EDTV.
