I have 2 kids in high school and usually each class/teacher will tell you the first couple of days what you will need in each individual class. Spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, pocket folders with brads, binders, pencils, pens, rulers, calculators, etc. are the most requested for mine so far. You may try to school's website for info.

You'll need lots of lined paper, pencils, and a few pens for starters. A way to organize handouts such as an expandable file folder or a trapper keeper type thing. Other than that when you go to each class the teacher will tell you what they expect you to need in class. A few teachers are very strict about what type of notebook you must keep due to their handouts and any "notekeeping" grades they might give. It would be impossible for the school to handout a basic supply list because everybody takes such different classes that take different supplies! For example geometry takes protractors, compasses, etc. while algebra takes a good share of graph paper and a graphing calculator.

Just relax and bring a simple folder with a few pieces of paper in it and pencil the first day. That way you can write down what you need for each class and have a place to put handouts. You can get organized later.

Good Luck!

Well, I require my kids to have the following:
pens
pencils with erasers
3 ring binder with paper and a pouch for pencils
folders for each subject
assignment book

It's also good to have these if you have the $
small stapler
3 hole punch
wite-out (some schools don't allow this- so be sure to ask)
colored pencils
calculator
ruler

But don't worry, as long as you bring a notebook and something to write with on the first day of school, the teachers should tell you what you will need to buy! Good luck!

If you are unsure start with the basics and then go to your first class and find out if there is any extra required materials. Notebooks, pens, pencils, looseleaf paper, etc. Naturally, you can also get some fun extra supplies that you don't technically need but are fun to have. Don't forget an organizer. I'd flunk school without one!

Well, to start-
Pens, pencils, a couple spiral notebooks, a few folders,
some college ruled paper. That should get you started
until the teachers tell you about any specifics.

just think of each of the classes you will be taking and then think of what tools you will need in that class..like Math...calulater,pencils, ruler, lots of paper. Science class...composition book Get binders you can never go wrong ...you should just get the basics to start with then after a few days in your classes you will learn more of what you will need every teacher is different and can be picky that way your not buying just anything and wasting your money ;)

folders, notebooks- some with perforated pages, #2pencils(mechanical is the best), black&blue pens, probably a 3-ring binder, depending on your math class- a graphing calculator, protracter, compass, and cool decorations for your locker.
