You are having an allergic reaction to the dust, you need some Benadryl. That's the best thing over the counter for any type of allergic reaction.

Fresh air and try to drink something. If the condition persists might be both of you are asmatic. That can be extremely serious. Try to figure out the source of the dust. It might be borax left up there for the roachs or something serious like that. If so call poison control imediately if you find something other than just plain dust.

All of the above, umm, except the cake thing. Also, you might consider taking an antihistamine (Benadryl, Claritin, Chlortrimeton), which will ease the inflammation. And might I suggest cleaning your room more often in the future??? ;o) Used to happen to me all the time, as MY sister was ten years younger than me, with severe asthma, so guess who got to clean OUR room? At 30 yrs old, I still have trouble whenever I vacuum and dust the house... I take Claritin before I even start to clean.

If you have difficulty breathing seek medical attention. If it is just irritation, open the windows and ventilate that area, go outside, drink water, and if your not allergic/ take a bendryl to decrease allergic reaction.

Go to the pharmacy (chemist) and tell them what happened, and get them to recommend an over-the-counter antihistamine like Benadryl or similar. It's an allergic reaction to dust mites.
