You're still at the age where your skin has alot of elasticity to it. Eat healthy, become active.. exercise, be proud of who you are.. and enjoy life to it's fullest!
You might need extra help with toning yourself, and getting the extra skin under control.. but remember, you're 14.. try to get that done with exercise first..
Good luck sweetie! Never give up on yourself..

That depends on how fast you loose the weight. Also, remember, the skin is more elastic in someone who's your age than someone who's in their later 30's. Which mean you're skin will be more likely to "pop" back into place, so to speak.

I lost 50 pounds in the 1980's, I was in my 20's, with no loose skin, BUT it took me 2 years to do it. The recommended weight loss back then was no more than 1-2 pounds a week, and if you lost two pounds a month you were considered doing fantastic.

I'm guessing that the slower you loose your weight, the better off you'll be. If you take longer to loose, you have less risk of gaining it back fast. You also have to teach yourself better eating habits, and it takes a while to get used to them and make it a way of life.

And YES, toning exercises can help as well. Remember though, that if you're weight loss suddenly stalls, it could be the muscle mass (which is a great thing). You don't have to body build to get great muscle tone. When you exercise, you build more muscle which in turn, burns more energy. Muscle also weighs more than fat, so if you've been exercising and suddenly see a wieght gain, don't freak out...chances are you're loosing inches and gaining muscle. When dieting the body will take energy from whatever area it can. It usually knows little difference between the fat that's stored in the body and the muscle tissue. Exercising will help keep your body from feeding off the muscle for immediate energy.

Good luck, and don't give up.

Probably...speaking as a person who lost 90 lbs herself (as an adult) and exercised while doing it...I have loose skin...it doesn't show much when I'm standing upright, but if I bend over you can see the loose belly skin and i have some in other areas too...

Losing the weight and having the loose skin is preferable to being obese though...since you are young, perhaps a lot of your skin will tighten back up...if some does not you can choose to live with it, or maybe someday have it surgically removed if it's a big issue for you...

I've chosen to live with mine...

No. If you exercise daily. I lost 112 pounds and I have no loose skin. I exercised 6 days a week so that I would have no loose skin. Best of luck.

P.S. I am a female

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

It all depends if you are exercising with weights when you lose the weight. Because you are young, you may not have any loose skin. Good luck.

only if you lose it really rapidly. Your skin and your bones will adjust accordingly over time. So even if you have any "loose" skin that will only be a very temporary condition.

You shouldn't. Make sure to excercise to tone your muscles and this should really help with that kind of problem. At your age you are resilient.
