Just like any other human being, everyone has the need for companionship. There comes a point when you realize that no two people on the planet are going to be perfect for each other. Sure, some people you can love. Some people you can hate, some people you can't stand to be around, so on and so on. Personally, I feel there are about 10 "soul mates" out there for each person. Whether or not you find any of those 10 people is a game of luck. In the meantime, what's the harm in having a relationship to fill the void while waiting? Why get too attached to a person you know isn't right for you?

Some do, some don't. Personally I don't like the whole friends with benefits thing. All it is, is a way for people to have sex without any strings attached and putting a nice name on it when all they really are doing is using someone and don't care if they end up hurting them. Way too many people go in to this type of situation thinking it is a step toward a committed relationship or believing they won't develop feelings for that person and end up getting hurt.

Depending on the age. With most teenaged boys, unfortunately, the answer is yes. There are boys out there who really do like you and will respect you and still date you without the benefits, but they are pretty hard to find I'm afraid, but they are out there. Never give into anyone who is just looking for the benefits in a relationship unless that is all you are looking for too. If you are a teenager, there are boys who are mature enough to treat a girl with respect and not pressure her into anything she doesn't want to do. That pretty much goes for all ages too. Never give in for the sake of trying to keep a date. You will only get dumped anyway and get yourself a reputation that you don't want.

Friends with benefits is a good place to start. You have a good way of really getting to know someone that way. Try not to be insecure and let him open up to you on a frienship level first. Things will grow between you faster if you have the friendship thing going along with the "benefits."

Both guys and girls like friends with benefits due to busy lifestyles. A sence of independance with the joy of sex keeps things exciting without the routine.

There are females who would not mind being a 'benefit'. Personally, I prefer not to be such a benefit to anyone. One or the other will only get in touch when the 'need' arises, and that's it.

At the moment I have 3 friends with privileges, and to be honest. It gets hectic. For example, B.O. (my friend) we had relations for over 5 years. 3 weeks ago she finally realized that she had really strong feelings for me. Once you start building feeling for one another things go bad. As for my other two same problems. I just don't believe it could work out. I'm better off with only one girl.
