Chances are there's a reason for your sudden craving. The body makes us crave whatever it's lacking in nutrients. It could be you're body is having you crave cheese because it's needing calcium, or another vitamin/mineral found in the cheese.
Another oddity of the body is that it can make us crave the foods we're allergic too. My allergist said that allergies can chance every 10 years. My son craves cheese as well. Allergies can be something as simple as diarrhea, not always skin break outs.
I really doubt it's an obsession, it's possible, but really doubtful. If your cravings for cheese last longer than a few months, you might talk to a dr.
And I really doubt that you're in danger of clogging arteries.

well, maybe not an obsession, but definately a strong craving. you might just get over it soon. but if this has been going on, and you want to keep your arteries clear, you could get some lowfat cheese, but even lowfat cheese can be detrimental if consumed in large quantities. if you want to cut back, start with the processed cheese, because that's the unhealthiest. string cheese is fairly healthy. and the cheese and crackers sound fine.

Well i used to have the same thing. What i did was slowly decrease the amount of cheese that i ate everyday. Every week i would cut back on some more cheese. Nothing drastic or anything it took me about 3 months to quit. I started excercising and eating healthy things and alternating my foods so that i wasnt eating the same thing all the time. I hope that this helps!

I wouldn't call it an obsession. I would call it a bad habit.
You know that it tastes good....now just limit yourself and eat other foods. If you increase your intake of other foods you might crave the cheese less. It is remotely possible that you have a vitamin deficiency and that is making you crave cheese. Maybe you need more protein in your diet.
Either way...yes, it can be bad for you over time. Change your habits now...and don't worry about an obsession.

Sometimes when you crave cheese or milk dairy products etc. your body needs calcium so if you take a calcium vitamin you might not eat as much cheese ,Its supposed to be one of the most fattening things you can eat. I love Cheese too only in moderation though.

Well it's high in calcium and in fat.
You'll be fine. Just exercise and don't continue this habit forever. Having a small craving every now and again is fine.
For instance, I'm pregnant and I was told to eat cheese. So, surely it can't be too bad for you or they wouldn't suggest that I eat it right?

It's sounds like an obsession to me. But HEY cheese is tasty, I LOVE IT! But too much cheese is not good. It can give you cheeseanitus. No just kidding, but still it's not so good to have so much dairy!
