It is common sense, but now backed by census data that earlier, smaller waves of immigration stayed in 'gateway' states, and now are going to the interior. Since the border is a federal issue, acute discomfort in a few border states would not change national law. Now that more of the country sees the issue first hand, do you think it will impact November's election, and our eventual law?

Despite the rhetoric coming from the GOP; regarding the recent bomb scare from Al Quada; they have a huge challenge of convincing America that they should stay in power. In essence, we have National Security issues that should be on the front burner. How can we have a war on terrorism, and not mention or prevent illegal aliens from coming into our country unchallenged?
Perhaps it was a border state issue initially. However, it appears to be a national issue and yes the Federal Government should step up and address the problem; which they are delaying until the November elections. I say we get rid of both the Democrats and Republicans who have failed us in so many ways: education, national security, war, drugs, immigration, economics, high gas prices, and others issues.

After visiting my dad in South Carolina last month, I was shocked to see an entire section of Charleston become a Mexican ghetto. There were Mexican colors splashed over all these little stores...litter everywhere....grunge and grime...trash...the whole area had spiraled down and hit bottom.
They are moving into America and making it look like the nastiest part of a Mexican junk town...
Where is all that pride I hear about? I guess the nice ones stay in Mexico and we get the pond scum sent to us.
Am I angry...oh yes! AND I work every single day doing whatever I can to get laws identified and adhered to.
Nasty, ugly, trashy, filthy neighborhoods where there was once charming homes...

Oh thank god, I'm still in a periwinkle state! WOOHOO! Unfortunately, I do go to Minnesota a lot since half of my family is there and they're not doing so hot, but I could have told you that.
I am certain that if I told my grandma the percentage in the state, she would flip and the Ladies Auxilliary would all vote.

Of course it will impact the election. The candidates will lie to get elected and then lie when they dont do what they say they will about illegals.
