Ok. I'm a Satanist and *most* of what has been said on here about Satanism is not true. Only christians worship the devil. If you really want to know more about Satanism go here:http://www.churchofsatan.com/home.html
If you really believe in a devil, I suggest you try any form of christianity.

Anytime we reject God (no matter what religion you profess to be) by sinning, we "worship the Devil" to some degree.
I am a Christian, Remember that the battle between good and evil is not happening outside the church. Rather, it is happening inside the church.
There is a very old belief that I think is quite true. Any church can be divided into thirds:
1 - the saints
2 - the ones that do not care
3- the presence of evil
Remember that those of the third group will stand up in a survey and say, "I am the Evil One within this church." The incipient thing is that those last third, usually think they are doing good.
So if this is true of a third each, where do you stand?
God Bless,
Vic

Many people THINK that Satanism is the same as devil worship, but really its not. satanism alludes to the power of the earth it self which Christians interpret as Satan anyway. Satanism plays to humanities baser urges, kill if you're angry, take if you want, rape if you want them and so forth. The idea that Satanism is the same as devil worship comes from the Black masses or Black Sabbath, which isn't really a form of worship more like a publicity stunt. Basically Satanism is completely different from devil worship, Satanism is self-worship and desire worship. devil worship does happen but I'm not sure if there is a specific name for it. Most real devil worshipers are quiet about it, the ones who talk about it are usually in high school, and hate their parents and have little or no friends and SAY they worship Satan for the (mostly negative) attention it gets them.

When people love an ideology of destruction & make songs accordingly, they are actually worshiping the Devil. The arts are spiritually inspired by destruction many times.
The devil seeks to receive worship because He is an identity thief.
The benefit is for satan only. It is that you could be possessed of demons. You could sacrifice to Him, at a church social, but you would have to drink real blood of the sacrifice. Then you would gain a lust to kill.

i would never worship the devil in my live. first of all i'm not trying to go to hell, i'm gonna make sure i go to heaven. second of all god is the only one i worship. with out him i wouldn't be here. if ther was no god there wouldn't be a world or anything else.third of all the only thing the devil wants to do is make us burn in hell and hurt other people and other things. that' my relign and if any one worships the devil they sould read th Bible.

Dear Martin,
There are perhaps some people who think they're serving the devil and actually might be doing just that. But none of these people have really known or seen the evil one because if they did they would have nothing to do with "him" he's the ancient enemy of all mankind and noone in his sane mind would ever willingly get close to him. If you would really see him you would die with terror.

ahhh see that is what is so funny about how the "devil" works technically satanism is to worship thyself, taking care of yourself before all others so many worship the "devil" and don't even know it. It's rarelt researched but honestly I think most christians should read book on satanism vs books on christianity because how can they recognize the enemy if they do not even know what he looks like... so to speak.

the devil is responsible for sin. sin is also murder, rape violence. if a baby was raped and then killed and that is coming more common. most murderers blame it on the devil so would you worship something that tries to justify raping and killing a baby? would you worship something that could kill your family? the devil loves pain. the devil loves violence and killing of innocent people. would you lower yourself to this level. would you kill someone, rape someone? then why would you follow something that could lead you to do it? if the devil doesn't influence you, then the depressing situation you put yourself into might. if you are down about the woes of the world and are not sure which way to turn good or evil, you should know that trials and tribulation are only here because the devil exists. if the devil didn't exist prayers would be answered because satan is the only thing stopping us from answered prayers. god does not hear the prayers of unrighteous men meaning they are following satan to be unrighteous. jesus said ask and it shall be given to you. god already knows what you need before you ask. are not the lillies of the field taken care of? then why wouldn't a child of god be taken care of. i suggest if this is from tribulation, pick up a bible, read it, learn it, practice it, and your prayers will be answered as long as you only serve one master. how can you expect god, who has given you life, sent jesus to die for you, and showed you the feeling of love( yes that is god) to surrender to your every need if you sacrifice nothing for him? nobody wants to sacrifice for him but they want him to give them everything they ask for. sacrifice and repent and you will not be a confused lonely soul anymore and the love you lack will be given plentiful to you. those who believe receive. and those who thirst after righteousness it shall be given to them.

There are no benefits. The Bible, (which you must believe in if you believe in Satan...) says that He will enjoy a freedom to deceive people just for a season, then he and all his followers will be thrown into a lake of fire which will burn forever. So, if you are smart you will run from him. Or cozy up for a little toast... literally.
