How many mg are in each capsule? You have to know that in order to determine how many you would need to give to be able to give 250mg of it. If the keflex is 100mg per capsule, then you would give 2.5 capsules (2 1/2). 1:100mg = x:250mg .... 1x250 = 250, ... 100x = 250.... divide 250 by 100.....

just saw you had amended your question. If you need to give .25gm of a med that is 250mg per capsule.... you need to have both in mg or gm. There are 1000 mg in 1 gm. Multiply .25 x 1000 = 250. You would give 1 capsule.

0.25g = 250mg
if you need to give 250mg and the capsules are 250mg, you only need to give 1 capsule.
