Not very high. Mine usually wind up flying onto the roof and into a tree. I think clipping their wings makes them fly less.

Sure, for a short distance and as long as they are not too fat. But we are talking tens of yards, not much more. I have seen them get up over a six foot fence and I have seen them go 30 to 50 feet if agitated enough. Most of the time they would just rather run, though.
I also have also seen them work their way 20 - 30 feet up into a tree to roost for the night.

YES! there were some in a tree at the back of my parents' property this one time, they were the neighbor's chickens and roosters. it was really funny.

They glide, actually. They can fly for very short distances, but most of their aerial activities involve gliding from a higher place to a lower one.
