Dogs are in heat for 3 weeks - 1 week coming in, 1 week ready to breed, 1 week going out (on average)

If I remember right, it lasts about 3 weeks. I wouldn't recommend an old pair of panties. However, the vet can give you medication that will take her out if heat if you don't want to deal with it. Good luck!

I have a female dog too and when it comes to her, it usually lasts about a month. Could be more, could be less. I suggest you buy a cute dog panty her size and some pantyliners. It's the best way to keep her (and everything else) clean. Plus, she will be comfortable in it!
