3 facts and my conclusion
1: in the christain faith it says to follow god not follow man.
2: man is flawed anything man makes is flawed
3: god created spirituality man created religion

calling yourself christian makes many believe you are of a religion.
religion is flawed and made by man. so by following a religion you are not following god.
why dont real christains call themself agnostic christains?
agnostics are spiritual but have no religion
would this path i am speeking of be the truest path to christ? it lets one take away all that is not christ centered in religion

I do in my opinion think your question is good however I can not follow all your reasoning as it is stated. I mean by that I do follow what you are saying but the logic is kinda one sided. It slants to the new name Agnostic Christian and thus another new name for one to call himself.

Is the fault in individuals calling themselves a christian? Could it not be in how the word Christian is defined or perceived to be defined by some?

I like you do at times have questions in this area. I did solve my own problem by calling myself a "NO". Then when someone asks me what a "NO" is, if they do ever ask, I will explain what my view of a "NO" is. Thus a new term is expressed and defined with a definition that is not in the dictionary. The word NO is there in the dictionary but a "NO" is not yet there.

My question comes up because I find no bible recording that Christians called themselves a Christian. By this I mean an individual used that word Christian itself and said "I am a Christian". I do find a recording that some were called Christians, but it does not say by whom or for what reason. It does not say that the name calling was for the good or a statement making as Christian something other than good.

Is a specific name take on by someone a judgement? I wonder and since I even refuse to judge myself in this area, I would rather let My God and/or Jesus judge that fact. Likewise if others want to label me as a Christina for Good or other than good in their view, that is their option. I will not get offended but If I hear of it I will say I would rather be called a "NO" to avoid being classified in the wrong group.

So for now I am content to be a "NO" and stop there unless ask to explain OK. Such does not make me right of course but it sometimes does open a door because some want to know what a "NO" is.

Do have a great day and do ask more deep thinking questions OK.

"christian" sort of skill "little" christ. It became into used for the the 1st time in Antioch. Acts 11:26 (New international version) 26and whilst he chanced on him, he delivered him to Antioch. So for a complete 12 months Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught super numbers of persons. The disciples have been pronounced as Christians first at Antioch. notwithstanding it doen't mean now what it meant then.

Actually, Jesus Himself said that the only "religion", if you will, is to love one another.

What I have w/ Christ is a relationship.

you have to remember that the term "Christian" is used very loosely. someone who believes that they can earn their way to heaven will call themselves a Christian just like someone who believed in salvation my grace alone. for example, catholics and lutherens, and even mormons all call themselves "Christians" but believe differently...

You are confused!
Christianity is Not a Religion

Please do not classify Christianity as just another religion? Please do not group Christianity with religions?
Christianity is not a religion per ce. Christianity is a relationship with the only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christians belong to the family of God. Christians are spiritual brothers and sisters to Jesus Christ and spiritual brothers and sisters to one another. They are the family of God. They have a relationship that is like no other on earth. They are all one in Jesus Christ. No so-called religion can claim that.
Christianity was created by God, Jesus Christ, to save mankind from their sins to take them to heaven to be with Him forever.
All religions of the world were created by Satan to keep men in their sins so he can take them to hell to be with him forever.
Christ came to take away sin. Satan came to add sin.
From the beginning of sin, first started by Satan, Satan wanted to be as God. The best he can now do is disguise himself as as many gods as he can to capture the souls of the masses to keep them in their sins and take them to hell when they die physically.
Christians are followers of Jesus Christ as the only one who can forgive, remove and cleanse them from all their sins by the blood He shed for them at Calvary.
Religious people are followers of some false god created by Satan.
Christianity is not a religion. It does not follow a false God.
Christianity is God, Jesus Christ, saving men from their sins.
Religions are men trying to be good enough on their own to save themselves and get to heaven by their own efforts and good works.
What religious people don't know is, because of their sins, they can never be good enough to get to heaven on their own efforts and good works. They do not know, understand or accept the fact that, in order to go to heaven, they must have their sins forgiven, removed and cleansed by the blood Jesus Christ shed for them at Calvary.
Christianity is the truth of God revealed to mankind in God's word, The Holy Bible, the only book that is spiritually alive and can make believers spiritually alive to God. Christianity's holy book, the Holy Bible, is the only truly holy book written by the true and living God. God used some 40 authors to record what He wanted in The Holy Bible, but He is the actual author. God wrote The Holy Bible.
Religion's so-called holy books are not holy but are books written by men inspired by Satan, not God. Unless you want to say Satan is the real author who wrote all those so-called books to confound the minds of the masses to keep them from coming to Jesus Christ, their only Savior from sin.
Religions are lies created by Satan, revealed to them through their so-called holy books. Their so-called holy books are spiritually dead books. They cannot convey spiritual life to anyone.
Christianity has a living leader, the one and only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, who after three days, arose from the grave and is now alive at the right hand of the throne of God the Father in heaven. He is there now making intercession to the Father for His children. No religion can claim that.
Religions have leaders who are now dead and in their graves. None are still alive.
Christians have saving faith to believe the truth and go to heaven.
Religious people have fatal faith to believe lies and go to hell.
Christ saves mankind from their sins and helps keep them from becoming worse sinners.
Religion can do nothing about man's sin but, as far as God is concerned, but make them more sinful.
Religions breed pride, hatred and extreme ideology. Some religious zealots are actually demon possessed who hate, rape and murder under the guise of their religion.
Christ brings humility, love and a balanced ideology.
Once again, Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is a personal, life changing relationship with the one and only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Is that true of You? Do you have a personal, life changing relationship with the one and only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ?
