i go to a private school and we wear black an white checkered plaid..and buttoned up shirts wit our school logo..i think its soo stupid...it aint cheap either ...i dont see y we have to wear em

It would be sooo cool if you and your friends created new uniforms on paper with the colors etc. Then you could take it to the school council to approach the school board. They probably would love to hear the student's input so they would not mind wearing them so much. Maybe they would even let you have a design contest.

The purpose of the uniform is to take the student's mind off fashion & other distractions & focus you on what really matters: course studies. Does it always work? No. My daughter has to wear a uniform at her school too, but nothing like Catholic Plaid. It's an approved color polo shirt w/ school logo & approved color slacks. No skirts, skorts or shorts less than 6" at the inseam. Boys must wear belts that actually hold the pants up at the natural waist. No extreme hairstyles, unnatural hair color & no makeup or earings on the boys. Girls makeup must be minimal & "in good taste."

As for the 'it ain't cheap' part? I completely & totally feel your pain!

I know it seems so lame. They're pretty ugly. That checkered stuff r so 80s. If I was gonna wear a uniform I would rather go with plaid, but that'll never happen to me.

Yeah i have to wear one aswell. But i live in london so its different from the us. ours thank god is not to bad but it is expensive like £400 to buy everything (thats like roughly $600, i think).

we have to where uiforms. when it's a really hot day it gets really annoying.
