English translation:

I, Sirs, am a Christian. In that context, can my alarming fondness for pornography be viewed as fornication, and thus a sin? Why must it be so? Why, damn it anyway?

Hope this helped.

I am assuming you mean "fornication" which is defined as "sexual intercourse between two consenting adults who are not married to each other."

However, the Bible defines it as "sexual intercourse between a man and woman who are not married, or any form of sexual behavior considered to be immoral."

So, you cannot watch porno OR masturbate or have any sexual fun whatsoever if you are a devout Christian.

Depending on your age, nature will cause you a whole lot of misery if you want to follow the Bible because young males think about sex every few minutes, especially young men. Masturbation is a normal, healthy practice, assuming you are doing it in private.

When I hear these taboos that all religions have, I am so frustrated to know that they are stupid laws based on old, old times. You see, in ancient society people were dying at about thirty! They needed to grow the population so that there would be enough workers to do battle, farming, explore for water and food and all kinds of necessary duties. Therefore, the religious teachers did not want people masturbating! That can't increase the population! So they made it taboo. The same holds true for the taboo of homosexuality. Let's face it, the only way to create life is with a man and woman (at that time).

Now, we have too many people. Populations are starving in many parts of the world. We now need population control. But the ancient doctrines still forbid it!

So you must ask yourself what harm is there in reading naughty magazines and masturbating? It is your body. It might also give you release of sexual tensions and make hanging on to your virginity easier (another taboo with no real meaning except for religious beliefs based on old times when people married at ten or twelve and it was likely to be for financial reasons)!

By the way, those rules also apply to Muslim doctrine (Islam was developed after studying Jewish and Christian principles. They just think Jesus was a prophet, not a messiah, and that there is no God but God.

I believe that the strict supervision of young men and women of the Muslim faith and not permitting any sexual release for young men and therefore are channeling their frustration towards violence.

In other words, make love not war! But for now, and until you can support a wife and child, do not have intercourse. If you do, please use a condom.

Not according to Kinsey. But if you want a narrow view, the religious zealot might suggest you to pluck your eyes out. My God would never suggest self mutilation, so throw 'that' book out. And someone else said 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' God inspired someone to say that also. Remember, Eve came to be; when God found Adam was lonely.
One more, adultery has a specific definition, Marriage must be involved. Your hand is not a vagina so your not fornicating.
I'm not sure, but fornicating is sex out side marriage right? Coitus or intercourse with your spouse and oral sex is cunnilingus or (HA! its been so long I forgot the name) Fellatio:))
As long as you are not ashamed ..do it
Just tell me, does a zealot have a nocturnal emission?? I don't know LOL!!

The bottom line is, are you going to follow Jesus, or your own desires?
If you are going to follow Jesus, then you need to get rid of anything that is causing you to sin. You know this, already, in your heart. I really don't think you need any Christian people, or "whateva" to tell you this.
If you are going to follow your own desires, then do so, but you and Jesus both know you are not a Christian, no matter what you tell other people.
Perhaps you should quit calling yourself a "Christian" until you are truly ready to take up that cross...for your own sake, and for His...

Well I'm not religious , but I would say that the only thing bad thing about porn would be that I would probably lead to worse things. At first you would just get off w/ it, lol, then it could lead to maby looking at another women in a "non Godly manner". I could go into detail but, I wouldn't want to offend any one out there. Also I wouldent technically call it fornication; but dosent your Bible say murder begins in the heart? I would say that not only murder but Fornication and all other things begin there also. Hope this helps. Great Question.

In ancient times, people thought that the soul of a man lived on through his descendants. Thus, it was vitally important for him to marry a virgin so he knew he was getting an heir. This helped justify turning women into property their whole lives--first their fathers' property, then their husbands'.

Since people had a sort of mystic veneration for a man's "seed" (so to speak), they invented a sort of sexual code that prohibited many sorts of behavior, though in practice only women would get punished for fornication, while men could rendezvous will all the hookers they wanted.

Fast forward to today. We inherit a lot of the sexual code, even though we've dropped the basis for it. Much of it solidified in Christian (and later Islamic) religion, and so it's the societal norma. And since any sort of sex that's not preapproved is forbidden, that includes looking at sexy pictures and the like, and getting off to that.

Me, I disregard all of that. A little sexiness can help a relationship, and it can help you get by when you're not in a relationship. Go for it.

"so is it..." Why are you asking the advice of strangers on the Internet? You should go with what's in your heart and however you interpret the bible, if you choose to follow that as the 'word of God'. You should work on making your personal beliefs your own rather than basing them on other people telling you what's wrong. Educate yourself and learn arguments on both sides and then make your own decision. Anyone can come on here pretending to be a christian or quoting bible verses, but it's up to you to decide what's right or wrong. : )

Most Religions strive for a PURE MIND as well as SPIRIT.

So... if that's true...the THOUGHT is as bad as the DEED...

and ... Indeed, not thinking about sex makes it much less likely that you'll "fall prey" to a situation.

So... make up your mind... are you going to follow the teaching of your RELIGION or not.

If not... don't be complaining that it's to strict... or silly...

It's not a BUFFET kind of thing... where you just consume the parts you like.

And... you said it best yourself.... "whateva"

To a christian sin is less what we do (though that is part of it) and more what we think. Jesus put it best:
Matt 23:27
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

Do christians believe fornication occurs during marriage? Are Christians deeply ashamed to have committed fornication during marriage? If they want children, they must either adopt, or fornicate. There are a lot of Christians, therefore, there is a lot of fornicating Christians.
