How can you be sure this is the person who took your child? Do you torture them just to find out? Mightn't they say they were just to get you to stop torturing them? What if you were torturing an innocent person who would say whatever you required just to stop the pain?
Or if it for 100% sure was the right person who wanted to kill your child, what would stop him from telling you the wrong place and get you to waste that 1 hour?
What if the question itself is macho bull sh*t and demanding a Yes or No is just your way of asserting dominance over the answerer. Would you torture the respondent if they insisted on saying more than Yes or No?
I have to say that this question conjures images that are hurtful and harmful to anyone who considers it. You must be a tormented and demented being to have even thought of it.
Feel free to take this as a No, I will not answer your question! But I will reply and now I have.

I'd do it but I'm a little disappointed that your only going to give me an hour there are so many possibilities and hour is not nearly enough time to do a really thorough job.
This happened in Germany a few years ago. The suspect confessed the police went to find the kid but he was already dead and the guy got off because the confession had been extracted by torture, but I cant remember the name of the case

I hate to say it, I think it's a yes. I doubt I'd be much good at it though.... I'd be overcome with rage, if I saw I wasn't making headway, I'd either give up, or kill the culprit out of frustration.
The real question is, who would win in a battle between a wasp and an ant, no, wait, a spider, the ant would have no chance...

I'd like to believe I would do whatever it takes to get my son back safe and sound with me so if torture is what it took then yes most definitely but I doubt torture would actually get my son back for me.Maybe I would concentrate more on trying to find my kid and then if anything bad had happened to them then the torture would begin but one hour would never be enough. They would know pain, serious pain and then I'd get them banged up for life.

But how would I know for sure if he had my children? If he'd stated he had my child and would not tell me where they were then YES I would have no choice but to severely torture him. What a ridiculous question. Well suppose not mate, you're obviously a total nutcase. GET LOST.

Effective yorture takes place over days/weeks and sometimes months
Duffing someone up for 20 mins wouldn't get much or response.
You need sleep deprivation, mind games, a chance to pry into their psyche and try to find out what makes them tick

Yes, even though that would stoop me to their level. No sick bas8ard would get away with messing with one of my kids.
The whole family would get involved in torturing them and believe me there would be a lot of pain inflicted!
Why do you ask this question, has something happened or are you just curious?

Yes, and if the bastard didn't give up the location he'd have years of torture ahead of him. I'd get him a freaking heart transplant just to continue torturing him.
