I lost about thirty pounds in less than two months on The Movie Star Diet, by Steve Simmons. The new version won't be out for a couple of weeks, from what I can tell on their website, but it's definitely worth it in my humble opinion. It covers the gamut from nutrition and exercise and they are even selling a workout book now, so I might pick that up, too. It's a really different kind of diet than anything else I've tried, and I've tried a LOT. It works well because it doesn't try to restrict you from eating the kinds of foods that you love. It works WITH you, instead of trying to get you to eat a bunch of stuff you've always hated and always will hate.

The 6 Day Body Makeover diet by Michael Thurmond. You can find the book in the book store or maybe at the library. It's based on your body type, (ie..which area the fat goes when stored). It's also low glycemic foods, no fat, no salt, and 100 ounces of water a day.

The 6 day makeover is only meant to be used a short while, but his other diet "6 Week Body Makeover" is more for longer term. I've known people on the diet to loose as much as 10 pounds in one week.

You can find out more about it at the forums at the maker's website. http://chat.provida.com/forum/
They also have a good recipe forum.

have you tried plenty of exercise. And just eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.

I know you want the lazy eat this or don't eat that answer, but the best way to a Heath body is plenty of exercise and a balanced diet.

The reason the different diets work so well is the mess up your bodies systems so it cannot process nutrients properly. this may lead to short term or even long term weight loss. However is is worse for you body then being over weight.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)
