1. Never go to that vet again
2. See another vet who knows what he is doing.
3. Make sure you keep momma comfy and unstressed
4. Enjoy the pups when they come and take care.
5. Congrats on the new members of the family

Good luck and enjoy life, yours and your dogs.

Ummm - I don't think she was due a month ago, because that would not be possible - You must have the date wrong -

But take her to a different vet then - They do know how to help with that

Or maybe your pug is just over weight

You asked your vet and he didn't know? Are you sure he's a vet? Are you sure he understood what you were asking? Are you sure you understood his reply? This is something that is covered completely in vet school, I'm sure.

You should consult a different (a real) vet right away.

MY guess is your due date was wrong, and you don't have anything to worry about. I would imagine that if Pugsly was really a month overdue she would be in acute distress. But then I probably know as much as your apparently not-so-knowledgeable vet.

He does not know what to do????
That is STUPID. What does he call himself a VET for??

Is she showing any signs of labor at all; panting , circling, nesting, whining, bleeding, any discharge....
You need to watch for those and then you just let nature take its course. BUT line up a vet clinic to take her to if she does not deliver them she could die. At the very least call your humane society. Or call a person who does this type of thing. You dont sound experienced. call another breeder.
Look it up in the phone book, classifieds, or online google search for your area!
Relax though... you may be off on the date of delivery.

7/18/06 was last month.

And if your vet "doesn't know what to do" then you need a new vet.

Preferably one who will spay your dog, since you don't know nearly enough to be breeding.

You should probably do nothing...she will probably eventually just have them on her own, you just need to get the babies their shots and all that
