Impossible to say with so little info, but do you think perhaps your CD drive is kaput?

Sounds like you need a new one.

the cd's might be scratched. the lens of the player's laser might be dirty. the whole damned thing might be dirty. many stores, radio shack and walgreens, among them, sell cleaners for both disks and players. buy 'em. try 'em. get back to me, if that doesn't work.
