does anyone know any bald women?
i'm not looking for one. i was just thinking "i don't think i've ever even seen a real bald woman off of T.V.

I've seen quite a few shaven-headed women in NYC.
My beloved is one of them. She set out to cut her own long hair short her senior year of high school, and just *kept* going, and stumbled into a trademark. She's let it grow sometimes since, for jobs or a different look, but always comes back to a shaved head. Not only is it practical, and beautiful with her small face, but she finds that it helps her overcome her shy nature a little bit. She can't hide behind her hair if she doesn't have any, you know?
Plus I've seen women with cancer and alopecia, in NYC and elsewhere.
I wouldn't do it. My hair is always complemented; my skin never is!

Yes, I have seen bald women, both by choice and not by choice.
Women can suffer from male pattern baldness. Also, some women shave their heads for many reasons. Usually it's the same reason men do.

i've seen a bald woman before...but most of them wear wigs/scarves, instead of just walking around bald like men do...i guess men are more comfortable being bald than women are!

Years ago i stumbled onto a website about women who are bald by choice (not by cancer treatment) and are proud of it. They wanted to be different and express their special personality or something like that.

I did have a shaved head once. I'm not a skinhead, I just wanted to see how it looked. It wasn't pretty. My mother's boss lost her hair due to chemo and she went bare on occasion. It did look good on her.

i got a bad perm one time and most of my hair fell out so i shaved it off. does that count. i kept it shaved for about a year (till my head got cold). i have a cute head. good thing.

only bald women wearing scarves or wigs - cancer.
No shaveheads, though.
