Because they're made from cream cheese. Which is noted for it's richness and smoothness, not it's 'cheesy' flavor.
Course, I guess you could get the same effect from a well aged stilton...

cheesecake is not filled with cheese. it is filled with cream substance that looks nor taste nothing like cheese. and the cream cheese is not cheese it's white and creamy and is more disgusting than cheese.

Well, "cheesy" really just means "creamy" and I think they're creamy. I'm sure it tastes like some kind of cheese... like cream cheese.
