Hon, you sound like you're going through a bad time and need to talk to a professional. The issue here isn't Nathan, it's how you're dealing with your stress by cutting. Self-harm like this means that someone's not able to deal in a healthy way with stress. It also shows that you feel badly about yourself and don't value yourself.
Can you go to a trusted adult, a parent or teacher and tell them how bad you feel? You don't have to tell them about thinking that you're gay, just that you're going through a tough time and need some help. You really should be seen by a therapist and get some treatment before you seriously harm yourself. You can tell Nathan that you like him if you want but I don't think this is a time to be in a "relationship" with him.
Seriously, tell someone about how lousy you feel and ask for help. You deserve to live a better life than this.
Take care.

First off, YOU'RE HALF WAY THERE! THERE'S NO REASON TO CUT! "Nathan" is already fooling around with you, so stop the cutting and lose the drama, hun! I was a self abuser too, but I had no one, NO ONE I could talk too. I lived in the middle (not kidding) of a National Forest and my nearest neighbor was 8 miles away. So, I understand your feeling of lonliness, however, YOU ALREADY HAVE NATHAN!!! He may NOT KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, but I'm not sure you do either. For one thing, you cut because you feel nothing, or you feel blocked, like you have "no control." But this is a LIE!
You are a beautiful 13 year old gay young man! Wow, you're already light years ahead of most gay men at your age!!! Hold your head up! He fools around with you, how do you think he'd feel if he saw the cut marks? Not great I'd bet! SO STOP IT NOW! You don't want to risk losing his friendship over a few moments of "release" do you? Is the "temporary" cutting worth it? Losing HIM? I doubt it. And this bs about girls being cutters only is bs, who cares? Girls aren't supposed to do it, YOU aren't supposed to do it. No one is, cutting is to "relieve stress" and you already have Nathan to talk and do that with. So fewking STOP IT ALREADY! Talk about stupid, and I mean that as an ex abuser! Self-abuse is nothing but self-pity and will take YOU NOWHERE!
Moving on to NATHAN. Nathan would want a strong, upright young man that he could be proud to be seen with. What I mean is, from now on, try to be like Nathan, not in action, attitude or dress, because copy-cats are not flattering, they are just creepy. But in a HEALTHY, SELF-CENTERED, I'M MY OWN BEST FRIEND KIND OF WAY. Isn't this why you like him? Stop being wishy-washy and DECIDE ONCE FOR ALL TIME WHO "YOU" ARE! When you do, then you can introduce yourself to the world. Be yourself then. However, make sure that you and Nathan can still be friends or more. HAVE A VERY PERSONAL TALK AND SEE WHAT HE WANTS AND WHAT HE EXPECTS. He may want nothing more than an occasional "roll in the hay." Be ready for that. Then again, he maybe "in love" so you never know AND YOU NEVER WILL if you DON'T TALK!!! So, get some backbone and the next time you "fool around" have a talk about "what will happen between you two." If he breaks it off, then you will simply be free for Mr. Right when you meet him (Yes, it will be devastating and it will "destroy" you for a short (short) time). However, there are a TON of men out there and they are far, far more alike than "unalike" so find another "more special one" and live your life for him.
BUT LOSE THE RAZOR, IT SOLVES NOTHING AND MAKES YOU LOOK WEAK AND SILLY! Oh, and as someone who KNOWS, it "doesn't solve or fix anything!" Sadly.

You shouldn't be afraid who you are. I think you should come out to your parents. Then you should see a counselor/pscologist/therapist. Then you should tell *Nathan* you're gay and tell him you like him.. The worst that can happen is that he won't want to go out with you.. Trust me, cutting doesn't make the situation any better. Hopefully this all blows over and you stop cutting yourself! =] Good Luck.. And if you want to talk (as friends) then you can Send me an email at marianemiranda2003@yahoo.com.. Or do you have myspace?

I'm 14 and have two gay friends, so I guess I can help a little.
1. Stop cutting yourself!!!! Its stupid and dangerous!
2. Just tell "Nathan" that you like him. Thats how my friend Andrew got with his boyfriend.
3. Why cant you tell anyone your gay? Its nothing to ashamed of.

Yes you need help. Being gay and cutting yourself is a sign that you're insecure and afraid of something. Why don't you just try to be a 13 yr old, and wait til you're in your late 30s to have so many issues.

no, you can't definitely say youre gay at youre age.we all feel attracted to people of the same sex throughout our lives, but youre only young, and your hormones are all over the place. PLEASE dont cut yourself, go to see your doctor, everything you tell him or her is confidential, they will not tell your parents and they will help you. get some hobies to keep you busy.
