My cousin jeff.. he was in the 311 bous. idk if you have heard of them but he went to jail for a year. I asked my aunt for his email because i havent talked to him forever and we used to be close i thought. well she hasnt gave it to me yet but when she does what should i say? I mean i havent really seen him in like 4 years..i really miss him...

Why would you have to state a reason? You're family and you are curious as to how he is doing. It's time for you to communicate with him. That's what families do.

Just be honest. Tell him you missed him and that you would like to start e-mailing him if he would like that. you don't have to give out personal information if you don't want to that way.
