I have a male cat who has sprayed my whole room. It smells really bad, and the stench won't go away. How can I get him to stop spraying?
It's really becoming a problem. I don't want to have to get rid of him, but it seems like I might have to. I would hate that. Anything you can tell me would be great.
Thanks!

When you neuter the cat it will stop his spraying in most cases. A few will continue to spray, however, their spray will not smell nearly as strong. Plus it changes their personality and makes them more docile.
It's a win/win situation. Most likely, he will stop spraying and, even if he doesn't, his odor won't knock you over every time you come in the room.

If he's not neutered, get him neutered. That can help.

To Ssirren - get the other two neutered, as well. It's a territorial thing, and if the other boys are doing it, the third one will, too.
