You have to sacrifice one for the other. Bigger and heavier cars use more gas but they are safter than the smaller and lighter economy cars. You will have to decide which is more important.
The mid sized european cars like the Jaguar, Saab, and the Volvo give you the best of both worlds, however, the extra money spent on the price of those cars including the import taxes and the higher insurance rates will buy you plenty of gasoline over the next 3 to 5 years (even at $3 a gallon) so it would not be a very cost effective solution.

Anything Volkswagen is extremely safe. Their cars are great on gas, and if you are interested in their deisel cars, they're even better. The european styling is a plus too. Great interiors. The Honda hybrids are always nice, but they aren't the safest things on the road, thats for sure.

opinion: user-friendly stable small SUV, super for groceries, short holidays, small kin. at maximum brining residing house an previous end table. plus: its a Lexus aka Toyota, she would be able to final n final. Lexus has the best paint on the industry out of any motor vehicle available, much extra advantageous than Ferrari, Maserati, etc. I would desire to comprehend, i'm a paint professional. They use extra advantageous than all people else, its why you will come across a 1989 Lexus that still seems new. indoors will postpone properly, leather-based is top of the selection. minus: many desktops, electronics, gadgets, etc that would wreck down, supply device faults, etc. front bumpers have a tendency to get eaten up in malicious program guts, direct nostril has a tendency to chip around grill. appears like many for some reason knock the mirrors off those as properly, like 5 to a million whilst in comparison with different suv's, autos. gasoline: bout usual, extra advantageous than a Blazer, Explorer, yet no longer as stable as a Toyota Rav4 for it takes gasoline to hold around all those desktops all day long and extra weight in paint, leather-based, heavier carpet, etc. experience: whilst in comparison with different small suv's or maybe massive ones, can't beat it. its no longer a highway motor vehicle so which you do no longer sense the line, so if that bothers you utilising this would subject you. overall performance: it ought to beat a Beetle or so, yet even a inventory ES300 is gonna blow its doorways off. and being a small SUV, turning radius isn't that super and positioned her with the aid of a no longer common turn, you will sense her lean and assist you to renowned she isn't satisfied bout it, yet you will desire to push her no longer common to get her to cry. in case you do no longer unquestionably desire an SUV, i'd propose the ES. i myself like the older 2 tone form of the 1997-2001 over this contemporary malicious program eye, stretched out, camry twin they call a ES330. the two tone became into the final genuine Lexus ES. capability, hobby, spirit, spectacular on gasoline and mechanics, can smoke a tripped out Jetta and actual do 140mph w/o thinking. the motor vehicle is purely a comfortable, traveling, stylish, mean performing beast.
