I just got my wisdom tooth pulled out a couple of days ago and I am using the same pills. I think that aleve or motrin will be a good substitue, they will also work with helping you go to sleep

The same effect as Vicodin? Nothing really. For a toothache, though, try clove oil - a drop on the tooth will numb it.

Nothing OTC. Contact your dentist and ask him for another prescription, or better yet ask him to fix what's ailing you.
Ibuprofen is a good OTC drug for toothache. So is Aleve. but, neither is as strong as hydrocodone + Tylenol, the ingredients in Vicodin. You need a script.

You might try a DENTIST. Narcotics only cover up the problem. You need to get to the "root" of it, so to speak.
Oil of clove is good for a temporary relief from the pain.

If it is persistent, go to a dentist. If you are afraid of surgery, he/she can at least prescribe some more pain killers for you.
