Did you take the new or old SAT? That score is great for the old one, but the new one is on a scale of 2400. If you got a 1490/1600, then that is incredible! However, that score out of 2400 is actually quite poor. The ACT score is okay, but it could be a lot better.

Sorry if this doesn't help, but it's based on experience. Good luck!

I can't remember what perfect on the ACT was, but 1490 out of 1600 if great. Full scholarships are pretty hard to come by. You better have excellent subject scores, a top GPA, strong extracurriculars and fabulous letters of recomendation.
Keep in mind that you don't have to take their first offer as the only offer. I mentioned that a competing school was offering me a $20,000 a year and I got a half tuition scholarship (the highest they offered) to my dream school after faxing over the proof. And my SATs were only 1330 ;)

Your SAT is better than I did. I don't know about the ACT. You need to talk to your schools of choice. Remember, scores are only part of the requirements for scholarships. Go to fastweb.com for some scholarships. Also search foundations on the net. Are you descended from someone famous? Do your parents work for a union or trade organization? Do you? Any family in the military? There lots of scholarships out there, so many in fact that most go unclaimed. There's even scholarships for book reports, so just keep checking your websites and libraries.

I bet your ACT score isn't high enough for a full scholarship but im not sure about your SAT scores. You usually need like a 30 or so on the ACT for a full ride. A 23 is good enough to get you in though!

A 1490 is a very good score & you should have no problems getting a scholarship based on your academics. I don't remember the ACTs so I'm not sure about that score. Congrats!

Don't know about the SAT, but the ACT score is about average. If a college bases its admissions and scollarships on just the ACT, you are much less likely to get one. A good ACT score is 26-32, a stellar ACT is 33-36.

Yes, the SAT is very good. Be sure to keep up your grade. Also, participate in as many clubs, sports, and other activities as possible. These are also factors into your acceptance and scholarships. I am not as familiar with the ACT.

Depends. Your SATs are based mostly on math and reading composite. ACT is way too low for a scholarship, you need to get something like 30s.

1490, if out of 1600, is very impressive. If it's out of 2400, you should probably take it again.
