Does anyone know where to find it?

I find to many of us give away our rights.... I'd just like to have a copy of this one

The law is the assumption that you are innocent until proven guilty. It's the police who function on the priciple guilty until proven innocent. That is not the part of our rights. It goes along with you have the right to remain silent. A police must have grounds to even ask you your name. If you are breaking no laws you're not required to answer any questions including your name.

The point is I don't break laws, I travel by hitch hiking and police like to "interogate me" They get to nosy and often don't like just the truth. I'm heading back out on the road and I found carrying a copy of this law with me shuts them up.

it's a shame how many people take the easy road and accomodate the bully tactics of police officers. The charter of rights and freedoms are there to protect the privacy of the innocent. Any one who bows down to the intimidation tecniques of the police throw those rights away. The police are payed to uphold the law and should be held to a higher standard of the law. We have been far to complacent in giving away our rights. Innocent till proven guilty... that is the law and I for one refuse to be treated like guilty till proven innocent,

its there, and you definitely don't have to sign your name to anything. However, if you don't co-operate, they have the right to throw you in jail for it on the assumption that you are guilty
by the way, the biggest loss of rights is when you give youw SIN to anyone besides the provincial or federal government and your employer.

Well I don't know about Canadian law, but here in the US you don't have to even look to the officer no matter how many questions he asks you, but don't think that will get you off of anything... all it will do is give the cops the right to place you under arrest and take you down town to interrogate you there until they are satisfied with your answers and determine weather to keep you there or not. I mean it is the smartest thing to do when you are guilty of a crime, but if you are innocent then co-operating with the pigs is usually your fastest route to freedom. Just stating your name and other basic info might be all you need to neutralize the situation. But staying quiet may only agrrovate it. JUST REMEMBER, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT IF YOU GET CAUGHT RED HANDED FOR ANY TROUBLE, IF YOU GET CAUGHT BUT THERE IS NO HARD EVIDENCE OR EYE WITNESSES, THEN EXORCIZE YOUR RIGHTS AND AMENDMENTS BY SIMPLY AND RESPECTFULLY ASKING FOR A LAWYER BEFORE YOU ARE ASKED FOR ANY FURTHER INFORMATION, AND LEAVE IT AT THAT!!!! YOU ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW!!!

Why don't you just stop breaking the law. You'll be the first to cry when you aren't protected.
