In the Bible, there are numerous times when men of faith are lead into war. Such as David (the man after God owns heart) and Joshua (Jericho). The Bible also talks about being subject to out government because "there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God." Romans 13:1

As a combat photographer I go to war when I am ordered. If somone is trying to kill me and I can get them first then I would pull the trigger without remorse. I think that if a conflict can be solved with diplomacy then it should but in todays world where there fanatics that will die for their "religion" and kill anyone near them then war is really the only diplomacy they understand. We are restricted on when we are allowed to engage an enemy. War sucks and is a nasty business but sometimes it's the only way to protect ourselves and way of life

War is never a good thing. The only good thing to come out of a war is peace.

Unfortunately, mankind hasn't developed enough to sit at a table and discuss and compromise through every issue. In a modern society there shouldn't be any need for violence...especially against one another. Larger nations (USA, England, Canada, and a few other EuroNations) don't entangle themselves with conquest or go into battle for ideological/theological reasons any more. Sure England had the Crusades.....but how long ago.

The USA and a few other larger nations have been involved in police actions across the world....most recently Iraq, Afgahastan, Bosnia, Grenada, Haiti, and even going back to Panama. In each of these cases sending troops in were necessary for humanitarian or global needs. The War on Terror is unfolding to be the most important war this planet has ever seen. It is needed because there are nations (smaller state nations such as Iran and Syria) that are supporting terrorist groups and controlling them from behind the scenes. These groups are causing global disruption and need to be dealt with.

As a man of God I would love to be able to pray for these acts to stop and for them to stop. Right now as long as there are people out there causing harm to people indiscriminately, we need to engage them with due force. If and when we get solid proof that Iran, Syria, or any other nation is actively controlling and supporting such behavior, then those nations need to be dealt with harshly.

As a former soldier, I have engaged and killed the enemy...which is a person I have never seen in my life. The Bible has provisions for War and killing in a time of war and that brought great comfort to me.

As a former soldier and a man of God, I do not condone starting wars to force people to worship your way or to stop them from worshiping their way. I would not support an attack on a Muslim Nation to eliminate their faith or attack their religion. I would support an attack on Muslim Nation that was threatening my way of life or the way I worship. It isn't about religion vs. religion to me. It is about stopping violence and suppression. People were put on this planet to serve God and each other, not cause conflict.

We are here to help each other, and if more people would reach out to help another...the world would be such a better place. Can you imagine a world where the biggest competition was to see who could help someone else the most.

Enough will never be enough as long as there are two living people trying to share the same space there will always be arguments and fighting. I am in this war US soldier I fight for the one and only woman I love unconditionally she is the only person I deem fit for me dying for she has saved my life many times and I don't even know her an I am not sure I want to ..Just yet that is maybe later on.

I do not think wars are good, but i do believe they are necessary at times. One only needs to mention a few historical figures to know this is true, Pol Pot, Hitler, Napoleon. Hussein. I personally have no religious affiliation so i cannot help there and i could probably not kill someone i never saw, although it would be easier.
