I asked :

"Christians, what type of stones should I use when stoning my unruly child in accordance with the bible ? "

as a way of pointing out the pure ridiclous nature of much of the bible's content and some crazy fundamentalist has it removed.

What is it with this fear of questioning and enquiry ?

Should I just shut up and say nothing when I come across horrible violence in the bible ?

I sit that they know that if even one part of their bible is shown to be ridiculous.... the whole thing crumbles ?

Anyone who uses a child as a example to prove a point is a sicko or a pedophile. Use ur last respectable intelligence of ur brain to ask a question next time so you won't get reported. DEAL?

Why do atheists insist on hanging out in the religious section? Aw, some bad christian got your rude, insulting question removed, oh dear me, what a crime. Apparently every reference to God "offends" you, yet you're wasting your time and ours in the religion section? How logical, it's almost as logical as your "all hail the great big bang from nothingness". If you don't believe, what is it you're so afraid of, and why would you spend your time in the religion section, when you have no religion?

As for stoning unruly, glutonous, rebellious, children, I think your parents would probably go for it.

Your question was rude and insulting, but I didn't report it or answer it because you're not worth the effort and you don't really want an answer, you just want to insult. The best thing to do with people like you is to simply ignore them, which I usually do, and which I will now go back to doing.

I think because you ask the question as a means of demeaning people and their faith instead of honestly seeking an answer. If you have honest questions, there are plenty of people willing to answer them, myself included. You can always email me at deaconsword@yahoo.com and I'll reply. The tone you use, however, suggests that you have no interest in hearing anothers opinion or point of view. For the same reseaon would expect you to have posts with profanity, racism, or lewd suggestions removed. Like the fingner above.

To answer your question, the type of stone is irrelevant. The point of the passage is that sin, any sin, is an affront to God that is worthy of death. This is what the Law requires. The Law is meant to illustrate how incapable Mankind is to actually follow it. However, Christ is the fulfillment of the Law. By taking all the punishment that Mankind deserves under the law, He removes the curse of it. Hope that helps.

I think it is because the intent of your questions gets lost in their mocking tone. You are not asking a question, you are just using Yahoo Answers to mock the bible and Christians who follow it by taking Levitical directives out of context. THAT SAID, your right to use Yahoo Answers as a way to spread intolerance and hate should NOT be infringed upon. Maybe you should be more subtle with your hate.

that is a great question, and as a Christian i think it should be addressed by the Christians who are afraid to answer questions.

i am assuming it is because they dont understand biblical theology well enough, feel their faith being threatened by the question, and instead of doing what we are instructed to do in the bible and educate and challenge ourselves, they choose the cowardly route which is not what we are to do.

however, i would add that if you think the religion absurd then you too have a poor understanding of the bible, the faith, and biblical theology.

It's called suspension of disbelief. You are forcing their eyes to see something that causes their faith to weaken. (In essence - you are showing them facts that deny their false interpretation of their religion)

They would never intentionally view the things that you're exposing to them, because they have built up a strong denial towards anything that might make them question their beliefs. You forcing them to view the facts is offensive. It offends them, it hurts their faith, and it makes them question their beliefs. And they find that so painful, and offensive, that they want to not only remove it from their sight, but from everyone else's, as well.

The Catholic Church pretty much developed the patent for this technique.

Hey bud, better keep it down abit, they might very well have your question remove.
When all you have is fate, fate in a crumbling story book, you have to fight to the end by all means necessary. Because, what else is there when they themselves condemned the others for their belief.

The Bible does not stand up to serious scrutiny and educated Christians know this. They are usually more open minded and tolerant of other views and opinions. The uneducated Christians don't know it and live in ignorant bliss.

Once again I come across a question that gets my ire up. I am a pagan and believe in freedom of religion. Your response to them getting questions removed is an insult. Respect them for having their beliefs like you want them to respect you having yours.
