Good point. We could still choose to trust or distrust this being called god if we all knew that it was real. That would be true free will.

In my opinion, it is a whole lot more complicated than you make it.
The physical Universe and the world we live in are separated from the place our souls came from.
And for a reason.
In this environment, we struggle -- and with that struggle can come growth. That we can take back to the Other Side once we finish this life.
I don't pretend to understand it all, but think about it -- do you really think that there wouldn't be some people who in spite of signs and wonders would still insist that there couldn't be a Deity?
So, it is a matter of faith, and what you believe in your heart.
But what we believe cannot ultimately change whatever objective reality there is.
It can, however, change how our life goes here.
Oh, and another thing -- if there is indeed a God, what makes you think He is all that concerned about whether we believe He exists or not?
We really are pathetic sometimes.

Well, it has something to do with the second coming of Jesus. People will be judged accordingly. The new Jerusalem comes down and earth wont exist anymore. God gathers his children, though Christ to enter the new Jerusalem. If God convinces all that he exists, then the effect of free will be skewed. God does this because he wants his children to believe in Him, truely and purely believe in him, without evidence, and without supernatural cause to influence the public (Although it does slip, see ectoplasma and exorcism on wikipedia.) In another arguement, God does try to convince all that he exists, but people don't listen, it seems most messeges tby him are sent by angels or other messengers he uses. (see wikipedia, fatima visions) Also Satan was defeated on earth and here he until now remains. Satan's influence here is great because it plays under human motivation (7 deadly sins). Earth is also place for the peoples' testimony to God. Also, God since he created us, also knows if he lets' himself be known, many people would constantly come up to him about all the minor things about life, asking questions like, what do I do about my girlfriend? Why am I fat? people around us would lose motivation about living and would constantly blame God for their bane. Hopefully this answers the question, I have to get going good luck!

Well answer this if you did not have free will what would you think would be going on?
If you think you would be controled your right.
We would have no choice in the matter conserning anything.
We would be like a robot.
Angels worship God by design cause itis in them to do so.
There is no way on our own with out a free will could consider anything else
God does not have to prove any thing to any of us
if you truly desired to know him and beleived he was, You would be lead to him by and onction a drive so to speak. But if not you will continue the path you walk down
the answer is simple. He 's real and you could feel his presence all around you... If you truely want to feel after him. Blessed is the man who hunger and thirst for he shall be filled. If you have any Questions You can call My pastor or me.
785-238-2988or his house number 785-762-4365
My number is 785-226-9052

For starters, this is the way he wanted it. He probably had many choices, but when it comes down to it, he had to choose one way, this is the one.
Secondly, have you ever wanted to be wanted? I mean like, to have somebody want you for who you are. For example, It is disappointing to find out, or even know that your girlfriend is doing things for you just to "get it over with" or she feels obligated. Don't you feel better when somebody does something for you, because they want to?
Being God is a tough gig, and if everyone knew God exists (as you describe in your question) we wouldn't have to believe, then God basically has no genuine affection or love from his people.
With all of this said. God is a "selfish God", because who did he create all of these people for, when at one point in time, God was alone. To say there were "others" before God would indicate that God is less then "God".

The problem is that proof of His existence is already there only you fail to see it. If you do not believe in God you will not believe the things of God. It's not that seeing is believing, its that believing is seeing. God shows proof of His existence everywhere everyday, but most people turn their backs and look for other explanations rather than the truth that is in front of them. (i.e. a person looks at creation but refuses to see its creator yet on the same token a person will look at a painting or a building and without ever seeing you believe there was a painter and a builder.)

God is more powerful than us but not that all powerful that he can convince the whole human race. For that matter no one can convince us what we don't really want to be convinced about.
If God were to now appear in physical form in front of you, what would that prove that would be of great benefit to you. He can't then bring you to heaven because you did not meet his requirements for heavenly residence. Just like if the President of the United States goes to Cuba and ask one of the kid there to come along with him back to the US, the kid must still meet the US standard of a passport and airline ticket and his parents approval, and such, etc.

The issue isn't weather we believe that God exists. As James says, even the demons know that God exists. The issue is what do you do with the information. Those that deny God's existence are not capable of seeing the forest for the trees. It is really about as obvious as possible.

It has everything to do will free will. If you truly understood the power and greatness of G-d you wouldn't be able to exist. When the Israelites received the Ten commandments at mount Sinai they couldn't even bear to be near g-ds presence too long.
you have no understanding of the role of Satan - he is a creation of g-d which fulfills g-d every deed like the angels do and he doesn't have free will - only man was given that option

Actually it kind of does have to do with free will and God using his power for that purpose. But he has tried to show us that he does exist through catastrophic events like 9-11 and he even tried convince Pharoh through the Plagues he cast on Egypt but most of the time we refuse to believe and look for scientific explanations because you'd have to be an Idiot to think that we didn't evolve from nothing. right?

Freewill is a myth that is based on mans fear of losing freedom. If God is not ALL-KNOWING, then freewill exists.
If God is ALL-KNOWING, then freewill does not exist because He already knew what you were going to every second of your life LONG before he said, "Let there be Jesus."
The choice is yours: Do you believe God is ignorant, therefore makes mistakes and has to wait until the end of your life to know what He created?
Or do you accept that everything is a re-run to the All-knowing and He creates people knowing He will condemn them before He creates them?
Or finally, do you believe God is All-knowing and He created everything knowing and accepting the created at face value?
For example: Satan. He created Satan with the full knowledge (unless you think God too stupid and/or ignorant) of what/who He was creating AT the time He was creating Satan, you, me, Jack-the-Ripper and that evil RotWeiler next door!
So, since God created us with the full-knowledge of our "sins", He must have not had too much of a b***h.
So you don't have to worry about anything in the afterlife...except maybe the questions: "Do you think me so stupid as to create that which I will DISAPPROVE???? What am I?? The "Not-so-all-knowing God??????"
But, then again, since He is all-knowing...He already knows your answer....unless you think Him too stupid.
So don't worry about God, He made you, He accepts you no matter who or what you are! Dump the bible, toran & koran. God knows you will!
