I (aye, eye) think that they would be (bee) a bit difficult for (four, fore) most people from other countries to (too, two) grasp. Some (sum) people have no (know) problems with them.

Homophones present problems in that it can be very difficult to figure out the spelling of any given word, considering the various options. For example: cent, sent, scent...You need to know the meaning of the word before you can spell it appropriately.

I'd hate to have to learn English as a second language!!

I'd think they'd present difficulties only to people learning english as a second language, because of the similarities in sound , they would pose a problem when writing.
