There is nothing wrong with Epson printers, the system of using more cartridges they employ gives them an advantage over other makes such as Lexmark and HP. You would be best to use Epson inks... I also find that using cheaper ink has left me with much lower qulaity photo's. It's a false economy buying the cheaper inks really as they don't seem to last as long either.

Also make sure your settings are set up properly as you will need to modify them whenever you want to print a photo. You need to tell the printer the exact paper you're using and also tell it to print a high quality photo (and if you have the option to use photo enhance as well).

If you want to print a lot of photo's though I'd recommend the Sony Photobox site - this is the best quality, Cheapest, and easiest/quickest delivery package i've found which works out much cheaper than printing your own photo's en-masse.

the cheap ink is easily to lump up.
and it could wreck your catridge censor.
you shoud change your catridge.

if u use epson, i suggest you change your simple catridge system to an infusion ink, just like i do.
it wont harm your catridge, and it's thrifty and extremely cheap for maintenance cost,
but sure youll get a fine print, depends on the ink brand u use.

I have an epson.. and I hate it.
But it's probably just the ink that you bought.
Buy a new ink jet and try again.
