Why do people try to prove the Bible wrong by saying that science is right and the Bible's just a mythical book that people made up thousands of years ago? Nowhere in the Bible does it have stories about deities or Goddesses or even Gods. Just one God. Over the years science has actually been proving the Bible right not wrong. I kind of see now why Christians today are so afraid to stand up for God and speak for him. Not only does it have to do with lack of faith, but a lack of courage too. Whow ould want to face a bunch of angry, hypothetical atheist who say "You Creator doesn't exist!" "He's just made up." "It's all a fairy tale." I hate it when people think they're smarter than everyone else, so much more better. I'm not tryin to convert anyone here so plz don't quote me, but I'm just asking now, if God doesn't exist, if the atheist are somehow right, what's the point of life then? What happens to us when we die? We just go into this big nothingness of blackness? If nothing happens

to us when we die, why do we feel the need to want to live forever? Why are we afraid to die?

Chocolate,
Don't let the naysayers drag you down to their level. You are on the right track: God and His Son lives! Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, man has the capability to return to their presence provided all their commandments are obeyed to the best of one's ability.
When our mortal body dies, our spirits will go to a prison world; paradise for the righteous, and a spirit prison for the unrighteous.
At the time of our resurrection of body and spirit into one soul, we will stand before the bar of Jesus Christ and must account for ourselves. Then we all will receive the just rewards of our mortal existence.

I am not an Atheist and I am not trying to tell you that God doesn't exist. I believe in God but I do not believe the Bible is the infallible word of God. And I do not believe the god talked about in the OT is the true God.
People say that the Bible is a mythical book because there is actual evidence out there to show that many of the stories in the bible came from older polytheistic religions that wrote the same stories thousands of years before the oldest part of the Bible was ever written down. These older documents have been recorded by science as being over 3000 years older that the Bible. The evidence is out there for anyone that is interested to go and find. the problem is that people don't want to find it much less believe it.

First, faith is a personal and individual thing. It really doesn't matter what anyone else say about it. Faith is a belief in the unproveable. No-one can prove God does or doesn't exist, that's because it is the fundemental bedrock (foundation) question of faith. Do you believe?
In an opened minded and fair discussion, there is a probability (the size of which totally depends on weather and what you believe) that they are right. You must admit that there is a probability that God doesn't exist and that the atheists are right. How does that change your faith?
If they are right, what is the point of life? The point is to survive until you die. Secondary to that, is to live as comfortable a life as you can until then.
If they are right, what happens when we die? Nothing. You lived, you died, end of story.
If they are right, why do we want to live for ever? The survival instinct/urge. Life wants to live and doesn't want to die. It wants to live for as long as it can, preferably, for ever.
Why are we afraid to die? Again, the survival instinct/urge. Death is the cessation of life. It is grounded in the physical world, not in the spiritual. It doesn't understand the concept of spiritual life after death, all it knows is to fear death in order to go on living.
Your disagreement with those who view the bible as "fairy tales" is misguided. So what if the bible is proven to be a totally fabricated book, it should have absolutely no effect on your faith. Faith is a belief in God, not in the validity of a book. As you said, science has proven that a great majority of the events are historically accurate. The bible (for my point of view) is just a starting point for our personal exploration of faith. Whether it is proven to be true or not has no bearing on the overall effect it has on my life and faith.
People tend to discount that which they afraid of, envy (but can't obtain), don't understand or can't live up to. Those that attack the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, are either back on the school playground (mine is bigger and better than yours) or trying to destroy or undermine what they don't understand.
Also remember that faith generally brings trails and tribulations that re-enforce or proves faith. You should look upon these attacks as an opportunity to prove faith in the face of those that disagree.

While it would be easy to say it doesn't matter, it actually does. People feel a need to explain something that does not have a physical presence. It is almost impossible not to impose your beliefs upon others for that is the nature of people. But do not fault them for bringing their own cultural beliefs into your world. Everybody is judged by unique and different standards, but if you have faith in what you believe, it is okay to be passionate about it. Even an Atheist has a belief which should be accepted as their own, not yours. Just keep your own faith and you will find your own peace.

Paul said it very well, m'lady: 'If I had faith in this life only, I would of all men be most miserable.'
Atheists may claim 'freedom' but we who believe know the truth -- and that is all that matters. They don't, won't, and can't believe and I for one will not try to convert them. It is a waste of time and effort because they don't want to hear, in fact cannot hear.
Also, it is written that all men have not faith.
I say let them live in their smuggness now -- 'every knee SHALL bow and every tongue SHALL confess his name.' This will happen at the end of time -- too late for the Atheists, but they were, after all, warned.

This is the essential fear of all humans, death. And death without something beyond it is nearly as great a fear.
Serious atheists -not brainless nincompoops with a chip on their shoulders- do not spend their lives provoking believers.

THIS IS A CLASSICS EXAMPLE OF SOME PEOPLE WHEN THEY OPEN THEIR MOUTHS THEY TELL YOU HOW MUCH THEY DO'NT KNOW. THIS COMES FROM THE LACK OF DOCUMENTED RESEARCH AND PERSONAL IDEALISM.
