I am asking this because I was robbed by three teenagers this past weekend. I drive a cab and when we got to where they wanted to go they jumped out of the cab and didn't pay me. Of course, I was very upset, but now wondering if something could be done for people like this to keep them from a life of crime.

As a parent, keep the lines of communication open.
Know their friends.
Have them invite their friends over to your home.
Involve them in band, choir, and sports. Those kids do better.
When something happens in your town, discuss it with your teen and ask what they'd do about the situation.

One important thing that you can do besides what has already been suggested is pray constantly for God guidance in raising your teens and pray that they have a desire to do the right things.
