She's 3 years older than me, and there's nothing in her that I admire. She gives me the shivers when I look at her. Can anyone relate?

shame on you! That is your sister. You should be ashamed for even writing that question. God forbid anything ever happened to her you would be the loudest one at the funeral

Yes I can relate! My sister is 3 years older than me and we are like night and day. She has never been there for me when I really needed her.

Stop trying! Sometimes you have to have some space in order for the love that is already there to flourish. I have a better relationship with my siblings now that we all don't have to live together. Just be nice to your sister, don't be mean and rude. But don't feel bad because you don't have overwhelming love for her right now. And don't force the issue.

If she is cold-hearted, than I don't blame you. Getting angry or disliking someone is okay, as long as you don't use feelings to hurt that person. You may not realize it right now but a part of you does love your sister, no matter what the rest of you thinks.

i can relate to this...i have a siste 3 yrs younger than me and she also is very coldhearted..she thinks her way is always right..is always putting people down..thinks she is so much better than everyone else..she is a user..doesn't have any friends..i have tried over the years to ignore these traits in her because she is my only sister..but i have given up..her own kids can't stand being aroung her..they joined the army just to get away from her..so no i dont think its wrong if you have truely tried to get alone with her but it doesnt work..then move on...

I can relate, sometimes you just got to let things go even if it hurts. Sometimes it feels like you are the only one who tries and it gets tiring after so long....yeah I know.

You do not have to like her. Just because she is your sister does not mean that you have to be good friends. You do however have to try to understand her and love her because she is your sister.
