cake walk, put a windows 98 boot disc in and when booting tap the f5 key to stop it from loading windows, from there you will have a c: prompt. type in fdisk c: That will wipe your disc clean, then type format c: that will format the disc. restart then put in your windows 2000 install cd and follow the install directions.

The whole things takes about 20 ish minutes.
FYI you can get a boot disc from searching for it on yahoo, keyword 98 boot disc.

You can do it from your Windows 2000 CD.
Boot on the CD,
Destroy the partition,
Create a new partition,
Format (choose NTFS),
Reinstall.

Easy, no?

if you want to reformat your hd, you should boot with a startup disk or the windows cd.

restart the pc as it is restarting keep tapping the f8 key then a menu will load go in by the command prompt only .. option
the start your format of your pc

boot into windows2000
put cd in drive it should open click install it will reboot giving you the option to format
