First off - let's find the biblical definintion of "tongues"
Acts 2:4. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that EVERY MAN HEARD THEM SPEAK IN HIS OWN LANGUAGE.
After reading this ... Are you sure you were given a "word" in tongues? If so, who is it to be spoken to?
Why do you feel it is necessary to speak in tongues?
1 Cor.12:30. Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
Tongues will cease --
1 COr 13. 8. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Tongues are for our self - pride
1 Cor 14.4. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
What is the good of tongues --
6. Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
Search your Bible thouroughly the answers are there.

The Scripture says that there should be an interpreter present to edify the Word and deliver the message or edification. Not that tongues are used exclusively for that purpose, but God would rather have someone there who can prove that the message was real and not some "gibberish" the speaker was using in an effort to deceive or confuse.

I've been in Pentecostal churches that let anyone stand up and speak the "word" the Lord was speaking to them.
Usually, that meant that someone had a message from God. Not speaking in tongues.
All of the prophesies I've heard have been false.

Speaking in tongues is a hoax. The people who think they're doing it are actually just getting so worked up, they start babbling nonsense and it's just passed off as 'tongues.' Record the voices of several people speaking tongues and then play it back. Not one word will match because they're just rambling like a baby does.

First of all, I'd pray and ask God whether this is truly from God. If it is and you feel it lines up with the word of God, then share it.
I would encourage you to seek out the pastor about this to ensure it is in order Biblically. And I'd encourage you to read I Corinthians Chapters 11-the end of the Book.
