routine is good at this age because it sets the pace for later.
My 1 yr old (well 1.5) takes about a 2 hr nap around 10am, then gets up for lunch. He goes to bed at night around 7-7:30

When my son was 1 years old his schedule was........wake up at 8:00 am, take one nap at 1:00 pm until 3 or 3:30 pm. Goes to bed at 8:30 or 9:00. They need about 13 to 15 hours of sleep a day.

Yes, schedualls are great for kids. I'm 19 (the oldest of 9) and often take care of my one-year-old sister. I've found that laying her down for a nap at 12 or 1 is best and she is usually tired and ready for bed at 8. She only takes one nap per day but they're usually one & a half to two hours. Every child is a little different though so their schedualls may vary.

yeah you should make the nap time a daily thing , also the bed time. 1 year olds nap 2 times a day maybe for about 1 hour naps or 30 min it depends.

My little boy (now 2.5) took an hour nap or so around 10 or 11am and than another nap about 2pm. Our schedules fed off of each other. A schedule is wonderful to have especially with a child, but I didn't force it. I learned what his flow was and paid attention to when he naturally was tired, it's different for each child. Good luck.

I have two kids, a two year old and a one year old. I have put them on a set schedule for nap at 12:00 noon time and for about an 1.5 hours and they go to sleep at night at 8-8:30P.M. If for any kind of reason something gets in their way of nap time they get extremly fussy. They both now sleep through the night and thats the greatest right now.

It is good to have a routine. A one year old generally begins to take on nap a day, which is mostly after lunch until about one thirty to two. Sometimes three.

yep, a routine schedule is ALWAYS best for children.
my son (13 months) sleeps about 45min-1hour in the am, and about 2-2.5 hours in afternoon...working toward one nap in the afternoon. I won't let him sleep past 1 hour in morning.
my dd was sleeping 2-3 hours in afternoon only by 15 months.

The only schedule I had was a bedtime. Naptime is for when they need to nap. You cant force sleepiness.
