hope that you are wrong?

They interpret things a bit differently than you. I'll give you a for instance before you go off with the scripture on me. All Christians believe that there would be no heaven for anyone without Jesus, but many of us believe that if people attempt to be "very good," we'll say in a manner as close to Jesus as possible, they may not be sent to hell. Do you hope that this is the case?

I don't find the scripture to be wrong at all.

Nickster, I have not made the division, nor can I judge whether a non-christian is bound by their religion, like unto blindness of another religion. I, honestly, know interpretations can be made, and I in no case, am certain of my interpretation. Nor, can I accept that a Merciful and Just God will throw people who seek Him into Hell. If I bind myself up with rules like that, I am little better than a pharisee. Who am I to judge.

I honestly hope that many of you are wrong.

I'm just glad that I'm not the judge. As far as I'm concerned, whether a person goes to Heaven or not is between that person and God, and I can't say with any degree of accuracy whether anyone on God's green Earth will go to Heaven or not -- except myself. Christianity teaches that in order to receive the gift of salvation, we must hear the Gospel, repent of our sins, confess Christ as the Son of God, be baptized, and then live our lives in accordance with God's will. What if you're not baptized? Does that mean you don't get into Heaven? Don't have the answer for that. How about the people who believe in "Once saved, always saved"? Can you obey the commandments but turn your back on God later in life and still get into Heaven? I don't know. The only thing I'm sure of is not everyone will enter the Kingdom of Heaven (the Bible says so in several places) and my biggest concern is whether I'm going to be one of those people who is welcomed into Heaven when my life is done here.

No, I don't hope I am wrong. I hope non-Christians hear and see the Truth and accept it. The only way to heaven is through Jesus. There is no other way. You can "try to be good" all you want, but salvation comes through the Son, not through works.

This is why the spreading of the Gospel is so important... to reach as many people as possible so they can accept Jesus into their lives and be redeemed through Him.

God is good and just and will not forsake those people who never had an opportunity to learn of Jesus or the Good News. But anyone who is aware of the Gospel and still does not accept Jesus as their savior will not join the rest of us in heaven.

Attempting to achieve Heaven through your own merits is a fools errand. If it were true, then Jesus would be a liar, and therefore could not be God, and therefore, could not have made the sacrifice necessary to forgive sin. We would all be lost in our sins and destined for Hell. Sorry, dude, God made the rules, if you do not accept the forgiveness of your sins through the work of Christ on the cross, no entrance to Heaven. If you want to do it by "being good", then you would have to keep the whole law perfectly, from birth to death. I think you probably already messed that up. God cannot allow sin in His Heaven.

There would have been great exhilaration in Heaven whilst he arrived. The nearer a man or woman lives to the will of God the greater surely he would be welcomed as a returning son. Christianity has long previous so very incorrect in its insistence that basically Christians flow to Heaven. you already are conscious of it could have all started whilst early Christians needed some thing to set them aside from different religions, a promise which could be made to transform others. it is not authentic. all of us warfare to do stable in this worldwide, and that's what God needs, no longer the Bible on your arms or the flow around your neck or the words you pronounced to the preacher whilst he asked in case you compromise for Jesus. Your uncle is surely with the Lord, and became with Him all his existence.

The only thing we have to go by is God's Word and it is good enough for me. There is only one way into God's heaven and that is through what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. You can not do good works and get there. If you could then the Lord Jesus Christ died in vain. The only righteousness you can ever have is inputted to you by what He did for you. Romans 3: 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Dear Big Pappa,

I find it unusual that you catgorize yourself as a Christian but then use the language of us and them.

In answering your question off course i hope that no one will perish. God himself says this in the book of 2 Peter - His desire is that no one would perish but all would come to repentance.

If you believe that attempting to be "very good" will get you into heaven, than you've missed the entire point of the gospel.

Do i hope that everyone can be saved, Yes-- because this is God's heart! But God has clearly shown us what we need to do to have a relationship with him, and we can't change that to fit our own ideas. After all He is God and we are man.

Believers base their faith not just on hope- but on a certainty that God is true to keep His word and His promises. So i don't hope i get to heaven, i know not because of how 'good i think i am or can be." but because i know and trust in Christ's goodness.

But in answering your question- yes, like Jesus i have a heart for the lost...

Hope that helps,

Nickster

This is the way I see it

There are too many people in this world for any one group to say they are the one true religion and everyone else is doomed. God is love, right? God is not going to turn his back on all the people that have been faithful servants being Christians, Muslims or whatever. Believe in god, worship god, don't sin, be loving to others and you should be cool. There's only one God (Jehovah, Allah, whatever you call him) everyone just worships him a bit differently.

I don't believe Jesus is god or in the trinity so my views might differ from others because of this.

I am a born again Christian. Of course I hope everyone goes to heaven. I hope I'm wrong about hell and it's everlasting torment. I hope that when it says in the bible that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth that the pain won't last long. I believe there is hope for everyone.
But just in case I'm right, I have my get out of hell free card. My trust and faith is in Jesus Christ.

There is only One Way for anyone to gain enterance into Heaven...That is The Way God proscribes for all to come to Him and receive His free gift of Salvation...

God makes the rules...play by God's rules or accept the concequences....

No one of The True Christian faith would ever say to any one that all, or all "good" people, will go to Heaven.... you have been listening to Mel Gibson to much
