Why do we have to have Borders all over the World?

When we get down to it, people everywhere just want to live and work .

Just because people want to maintain their culture and language, which they should be able to do so they know where they come from. However the world should be an open place and after being a citizen of our own country we should all be allowed be citizens of the world!!!

If we take down the borders both ways, that might be OK. It seems that countries like Mexico restrict immigration and property ownership ten times as much as we do. If an Amercian business man could have the right to go into Latin America and set up shop, their economies might just take off. The countries are semi-socialist and won't permit it.

yes, that is true, but some people just don't like others. For example, the Yankees and Red Sox. both play baseball, and both are really grat teams. But there are fans of the Red Sox and there are fans of the Yankees. It is what makes us different.
For example: The Yankees are from New York; Red Sox are from Boston. Both have different views on baseball, coaching, and who the best player is. Same with different countries. The U.S. believes in Democracy, but China believes in Communism, and England believes in a Republic. Plus, many people have different believes on religion and culture. The boundaries seperates those who celebrate christmas and going to mecca. Did this help at all?

If you opened up the borders there would be no economic controls, there would be no way to keep criminals in check, and there would be no national governments. It would be one nation with totally free market economy, it won't happen in this century.
